R&J construction put a roof on our house 5/5/20. The first year roof leaked from the second floor thru our ceiling fan in the kitchen. Went to clean our gutters and they nailed or glued the removable gutter guard to the shingles.......we cannot clean the gutters. Argued with whoever answered the phone and they said they would never do that. They sent someone over to check and YES they did do that. Told us we needed to wait until warmer weather to be fixed....never hear from them. We paid $6800......not a old roof tear off ...they went over the old roof. PS. They were supposed to put in a ridge vent and did not. When I mentioned it because they were past the place where vent should be placed they said they decided not to put it in. Roof needs venting because of ice dams. Got a $100. adjustment on the bill. Phone numbers we have ###-###-####, ###-###-#### and ###-###-####.

We were never told about any leak.  The gutter guard could easly be fix I believe it was that way when we got htere because we did not tear off any shingels because he wantid it that way he was cheap and didn't want to have a tear off charge.  The reason we did not vent the ridge is because you can't with the way ceilings are.  It was insulated right up against the rafters there was know ridge vent in his roof before we were there.  About the gutter guard he was going to call us this sprint and he never did.  We do a lot of shingel roof and have happy customers we have many happy customers I don't need his work.  I always recommend to tear off old shingels befor you put on new then you don't have any trouble
