4/30/21 a metal roof was installed by *************. Since this innocent, the roof has leaked, screws on the roof after inspection were either missing or not installed correct, either not tight or stripped out. He never finished the trim on the edge of the house. He never cut or installed a ridge vent to vent the attic space properly before laying metal on the plywood which caused condensation issues heavy in the winter months. I have no idea what else was done incorrectly to the roof. Once I gave him his last payment, and he came over to check 1 leak which was a boot on the roof he installed. He "fixed" that with tar and I could not get a call back or text response back from him since. I spent 700 dollars to have a ridge vent installed correctly, 130 dollars to install the trim that was missing myself. Now have a quote of ***** dollars to replace every ***** on the roof to prevent more leaks and further damage. I have found so many things wrong with this install that I believe it should all be removed by ANOTHER CONTRACTOR, inspected, any underlay issues resolved and then reinstalled with new over sized screws. ******** that was suppose to be laid between joints was also not installed. This metal install was totally incorrect. Not to mention all the nails in my yard, and black tar marks on my siding ive had to correct from him removing the shingles on my roof prior. In which he stated had to be done which it does not. He should in fact never touch another roof! EVER!Business response

I am rejecting this response because: You were paid for a service you did not complete. I reached out to you many times to finish the job you were paid for. I also reached out to you to complete work, and fix things that you did not do right or just nothing at all like leaving screws loose on the roof or not even in the hole at all. This has been eating at me since you put the roof on wondering wheres the next leak or the next problem. You could have been true to your word and just fixed the issues but the more i looked the more i found. Instead you said im just not dealing with this. How can you run a business and not try to take every corrective measure to insure your customer is taken care of. Its a roof, not a deck, not sheet rock, its something you literally should not mess up doing and you did. Its a one of the most important parts of a house. You chose not to fix it or do it right. Please do everyone a favor and do not get onto another roof. **** to replace all the screws, 600 to get the ridge vent cut and install breathable closures, 300 for the trim and my time to finish. Send me a check for ********. The extra thousand is my time, stress, expenses.

First of all I did go back and address the water leak which he neglected to say, I fixed what screws that were in at an angle you cant pull them out and start with a new hole then you will have a leak I put the roof down according to manufacturer specifications. The only I didnt do there was install two pieces of roof trim because what I had ordered was the wrong size so I had to reorder the trim which ***** did not want to hear. ***** had gotten to a point which he started being extremely rude do I blocked him on my phone if he knew so much about metal roofing why didnt he do it himself? The roof still goes under the manufactures specs so its still under warrantyCustomer response

I am rejecting this response because: The screws still leak here and there, I have to pay to have them all gone through by another contractor. It was a rushed botched roof job. Yes I did contact you about the leaks you don't care. The metal trim was never on order as I called Erie material in ********** after days of trying to track down where you ordered the metal so I could order and install the trim.I had them look under your account and the last pieces of trim were never actually ordered thus you had no intention of completing the job. I wouldn't be rude if you took a little pride in your work and came back and did it right but you were in a hurry to scam me get your money and move on like I wouldn't check your work. Take your bad review and be thankful we don't go to court. This whole thing has been stressful enough. ****** learned never pay before its finished and inspected.

Contractor was given the full amount of money needed to complete the interior remodel of my family's summer home. Whenever we questioned him about getting the project completed he kept asking for more money and time. When we finally told him he was not getting anymore money he said he did not have money to pay his men and they left him to other jobs. As per the contract signed by the contractor, he was paid in full for the roof and all interior work. The only part of the contract not paid for was the outside work which was never started. Jon completed the roof, but is refusing to give us the warranty paperwork for the 50 year architect shingles he put on. He is holding our house hostage for more money than he agreed to on the contract. He has sent my children text messages asking for more money because the money was used for a lawyer. No lawyer was used for our remodel of our kitchen, bathroom and living room. He also mentioned in text messages that he money get "misappropriated" when he is given too much at one time. To date Jon was given over $48000 to complete the $65000 contract. $20000 of it was for an outside deck that was never started and we did not pay him for. The project was started in October and was supposed to be finished by Easter, then Memorial day, then the end of June. He told us we had to give him $2300 a week until the job was complete or he would not work on the house. When we explained he was already paid for his labor and nothing was completed except for the gutting of the old cabinets and rugs and new wiring and wanted to know what he did with all the money we gave him, we received no reasonable answer except he needed more money to work on our house. Cabinets and tile were purchased by us and delivered to the house. Except for the roofing materials, everything else was purchased by us. He was supposed to buy a new front door, when asked about it he said it was ordered but refused to produce an invoice. He was given money for the door.Business response

The reason I refuse to work there is everytime that I need to get paid there was some excuse not to pay me on time weather it was the mail or out of town or forgetting about it I had to wait 4 weeks after I asked for money and my crew quit on me the two times I was told they were sick but there are other ways to get money to me I have the attached files are the contract and I copies of each time I needed money and I could see maybe once or twice I’m being late for getting money to me but every time I don’t see thst they put me in a hard spot several times with employees and my suppliers there are many more texts and emails they psid on time if had they I would still be there working and as far as the money goes I did what I was asked to do they many extras which I don’t think the mothers knows but they are in the contract
