This company was highly recommended by another contractor I had done business with. "The best in the business" he said. I saw 5* ratings and no complaints with the BBB. I would give -5 stars if possible. This happened at my home. From my first complaints about the numerous issues I was assured over and over by Mr. *********, his partner and co-owner, *****, last name not known, and his son ***** **** that my concerns and issues would be fixed. On 10/18/21 visit 1: new roof install, problems with drip edges bent, deformed, shingles bowed and not laying flat. I told ***** **** before he left job and he said it would be fixed when they did soffit fascia, and shingles would flatten with sun, It wasn't and they haven't. I paid $8000.00, which was $315.00 more than roof invoice amount on 10/18/21 ( total was $13,651.00 with add on for shed and aluminum vs vinyl), even though there were problems, and I was told no payment was due until job was completed. I believe in prompt payment when work is completed. My error, should have waited for entire job to be completed. Visit 2: 11/3/21, didn't fix bent drip edges, and when installing soffit fascia gutter guards gutters etc. ,I could not believe what I was seeing. Shoddy, poor, disgusting workmanship. This job was so bad I can not comprehend how this company can be in business, let alone be highly recommended with 5* reviews and no BBB complaints. Crumpled bent drip edges, bent bulging gutter on front and back of house, dented soffit on vent area, missing 5' piece of j channel under front porch, corners with various lengths of excess, excessive waves in fascia, gutter guards installed completely wrong, bent and extremely poor job on shed drip edge, no caulking around areas that should be caulked and old white paint where fascia should have covered the area . I was completely stunned at the poor quality and shoddy workmanship. I even had to stop the crew when they were going to install fascia on rotted wood on my back porch. I called ***** **** and he said "is it on the invoice" Uh YES ***** IT IS. Hard to believe they have such poor communication. Mr ********* being made aware of my concerns, and thru voice messages and phone calls, a meeting was scheduled for monday 11/8/21 with the co owner, ***** ? forget his last name. Further In a message to me on 11/3/21 mr ********* said they were restocking and would evaluate what needed done or replaced and for me to be patient and they would fix my concerns. I was told we'll call before we get there, they didn't, and about 9am on 11/8/21 my ring alerted me of motion. I was in my slippers and robe and when I dressed and got outside they had viewed some problems and said "we see you have some issues", I pointed out the crumpled drip edges, bent bulging gutter on front of house, bent bulging gutter on back porch, dented soffit on vent area, missing 5' piece of j channel, corners with various lengths of excess, jagged cuts, excessive waves in fascia, gutter guards installed completely wrong, bent and extremely poor job on shed drip edge, no caulking around areas that should be caulked, overall a very poor shoddy job. I was even told my house "defects" and choice of color was why there were so many waves in the fascia. Yes even on new wood they just installed. They assured me all the issues would be taken care of. Visit 3: On 11/22 crew with Mr. ********* came to fix all the issues, which they didn't, and in fact created more. At one point I had to again tell Mr. ********* about fixing the drip edge that was damaged when roof was installed, promised twice, yet not fixed, and almost not fixed again. The crew was then ready to leave. HOLD ON !!! I had to tell them they forgot to reattach downspout on front of house, which now has extra holes as they messed up the reattachment after trying to fix bent gutter and wavy fascia, yes that was messed up again too. Further the downspout was not properly reattached to the gutter and now I'm worried ice may make it fall off. Then I saw a new ball peen hammer dent on my back porch in an area which did not have a dent, almost as if done intentionally. I was again stunned and shocked at the poor quality of work. They had not fixed many of the original issues and created worse problems. Amazingly they botched the gutter guard install again. On 11/30 I talked to Mr. ********* and told him how unhappy I was and what a terrible job they did on the gutter guards. "I was there we did a good job". I told him it was terrible and looked disgusting. He said "what, now you don't like the way they look ?" Again I said it looked disgusting and terrible. He said "what do you want me to do ?" I said I think you need to tear them off and start over. He said "see you at the magistrate's ", then hung up on me. I immediately sent 2 pics via message+, which we had messaged on previously. It says sent on my end, but not delivered. I thought at the very least Mr. ********* or his son *****, who lives maybe 1/3 of a mile from my home, would stop by to see the DISASTROUS, SHODDY, DISGUSTING job their crew did. They have bent, mangled, cut, torn, and destroyed the drip rail on almost the entire length of the back of my house. The gutter on the right side of the porch now has a BIG bulge in it, the left a smaller bulge. A big scratch in the gutter over the bedroom window. He told me all the corners were fixed, yet the end of house by gutter was not. I still have waves and bends and bumps in fascia, extra holes in downspouts and numerous other problems. They even damaged my front aluminum porch roof with 2 big dents. I assume they thought they could either stand on it, push off on it, or drop tools on it. They also used the railing on my porch as a step to get on scaffold. I have many ring videos and pictures of this job I wish I could post here. This job was, and is so bad, that I am completely dissatisfied, frustrated, and angry. Never could I imagine such bad, shoddy, and terrible work. I hired a home inspector to review this job, he was here 12/2/21, and he said "some of the worst work he ever saw, that soffit on the gable vent area is not adequate for ventilation, that fascia is already peeling off, your drip edges are bent everywhere". I am waiting on his hard copy report. I received a second invoice for a "reduced" balance due from ********* dated 12/1/21 received 12/4/21. Not satisfactory, until the host of problems are fixed, and there are many. I will not pay any balance due. On 12/7/21 I sent a registered letter with some pics of the poor job, confirmation received, to ********* renovations . There has not been any further communication. Apparently ********* renovations is satisfied they did a good job and they are not interested in seeing the mess they have created. I am very worried that this will cost me more than the unpaid balance to fix as I have no idea how the bent, mangled, cut , drip edges can be replaced without removing shingles. I am also worried they may have damaged the freeze guard membrane when they shoved the gutter guards under the shingles in the first botched attempt at installing gutter guards. There are places where shingles are bowed and or not laying flat. I am also out $275.99 on the gutter guards I bought that this company botched the install twice, as they are now un-useable. Further, at no time was I told they are the wrong size style or we can't install them. When ***** **** was doing the roof and I showed the gutter guards to him he said they looked to be of good quality, stainless steel. I said are they the right size he said yes. Yet still they ruined them while doing other damage trying to install them. All I wanted was a decent professionally installed job from a highly recommended company. What I have is a great big mess, and I am very concerned that getting this fixed properly may require removing and replacing everything this company has installed. I wish I could upload pictures and videos so you can see the disaster of a job done by ********* renovations. A future magistrate hearing is scheduled. I have spent hours and hours dealing with this disaster and will have to spend more of my time to resolve and fix the problems done by this company.
