I have been going through some extreme issues trying to work continuously with this all started April 6th 2023 to have a ductless AC units placed in my home.
There are numerous messages attached stating the issues, the time and stress and anxiety this company has caused with improper installation, putting off answering messages in a timely matter. I have asked multiple times for a proper Invoice since installed outlining line items what I paid for to include each Unit ( QTY 3) the truck they wanted to use with a boom arm and install charges. The invoice they gave to include random text messages are not professional nor proper invoices I still to this date am unsure what I was charged for. The truck was their choice a ladder was more than efficient to reach my second floor which roofers used replacing my entire roof on the 3rd floor of my home with no issues.
The units discussed during initial quoting were to be the basic wall model, Dennis assured me there were no issues installing from the 3rd floor, we discussed in a detailed plan where the unit would be placed under the window in which he clearly stated he'd build a small shelf under window to house and the wires would have went straight through the floor up against the wall to my room and out the extending wall following the same wires my 2nd floor unit would be set. This was a perfect plan, as my ceiling and 3rd floor are joining with no sub floor between and no issues running the wires.
Then all the anxiety and stress started, once they arrived to install, I found out he did not follow our plan and chose upon himself a different floor model and per vendor is a FLOOR model its not meant for a wall. Not only did I not agree to this they put the unit on a wall that directly faces another wall and Now the AC blows only straight forward hitting the wall across from it, I also clearly stated my worries of this prior to them installing being over talked by installers stating no that wouldn't happen and that's exactly what is happening.
His son who runs this business with him had clearly stated on muti occasions, he told his dad he lived in one of my style homes and knew how hot it gets on the 3rd floor they should have stopped immediate and stayed with the agreed upon plan. I again did Not give permission or consent to the change. But was pushed into their plan. That unit is useless and I had to buy fans to keep that room cooled. This is Not ok,
I have had window units up there over the last 17 yrs facing the Right way and had No issues with 9000 /10000 BTU units cooling the 2 small rooms (basically one) but a half wall between. I purchased the ductless ac to stop using window acs due to there dying after 1 season and up the value of my home and now Back to fans after a $6800 install.
since this install (text messages all included) there has been nothing but issues from the 2nd floor unit shooting ice on the first power up and freezing due to them crossing wires, now the wires from the 3rd floor to my ceiling are now dripping and yes I'm aware of sweat, but per my constant discussions with a HAVC tech trying to get me in his schedule to assist the only reason their dripping into your room, ON floors is if they were not insulated. I messaged Dennis Saturday JULY 1ST IN AM with No response, I called his business home phone where a women answered said she would give him the important message, I never heard from Dennis till Sunday 07/02/23 night ( text message included) more than 24hrs later telling me he wasn't coming till Monday 48 hours later I clearly stated Don't come, I could not leave water draining into my room! I had it temporarily fixed meaning I was given instructions on what silicone water seal to buy and install myself till I can get the professional work done to open those sections and insulate the wires and find out what else is wrong.
Further issues: they placed the water run off outlet right next to the homes outside wall, this is now causing water damage and into my basement! From the picture given I went bought tubing and extension connector to run the water to the gutter drain off to stop that damage. The water is NOT from the rain going down the wall nor in my basement, you can call every plumber in Erie County, iv been here 17 years my basement is well taken care of and never had water in basement nor from the inside wall where that water was draining to.
There is so much more I can write; I think I have supplied evidence and more than my share of stress and anxiety to include not sleeping well waiting for the next water leak to take place. I do not want any person from this company back at my home, after the last visit from Dennis and placed his hand on my face to show how cold I his hand was I'm very uncomfortable not only with him coming here, but their ability to properly fixed this very expensive issue.
