I'm tech savy & very aware of tricks used by 3rd party companies to collect your data. I skip over such covert tactics when applying for jobs. HOWEVER SOMEHOW NEXXT cleverly went another way & got my data against my will. NEXXT has been scamming me with MULTIPLE emails daily that I CANNOT UNSUBSCRIBE from. I've tried many times. NEXXT is sending totally IRRELEVANT jobs I would never be interested in. I believe It started when I applied to a job on Indeed (which I rarely do. Now I remember why). When I click on NEXXT's useless unsubscribe link in the email I'm asked to login.I don't have login credentials & "forgot password" doesn't work bc I never created any account. I refuse to create an account when I want the opposite! Evidently NEXXT already created an account. I WANT ALL OF MY DATA REMOVED IMMEDIATELY! This company is criminal! It's impossible to contact them. When you call any of their numbers, they say "your call is important to us" which is a really sad joke. NEXXT does not want to talk to you! They make sure of it. You need to have a person's last name to talk to anyone in customer service, OTHERWISE press 0 to leave a message. If you press 0 MAILBOX IS FULL. If you fill out contact form on website, it asks you tons of unnecessary personal info & your issue is not on drop-down list. Legitimate companies have no reason to obfuscate & behave like NEXXT. NEXXT should be ashamed of themselves. @NEXXT WHY DO you underhandedly trick people into your database? PLEASE don't respond with the non-sense that I signed up, opted-in, had old acct etc. You got my data with trickery without my knowledge bc I KNOW I closed that signup window & skipped. JUST REMOVE MY DATA! ALL THESE PEOPLE HERE FILING COMPLAINTS AGAINST YOU WITH THE SAME ISSUE ARE NOT LYING! WHY DOES YOUR CUSTOMER PHONE# REQUIRE A PERSON'S LAST NAME, OTHERWISE PRESS 0 to leave a message, but YOU CAN'T LEAVE A MESSAGE BECAUSE YOUR. MAILBOX IS FULL? PLEASE ANSWER WHY THAT IS NEXXT? I REALLY WANT TO KNOW!

      Dear ******,

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback with us. We truly value input from job seekers like yourself. Our long-standing success with employers and job seekers for over 20 years is a testament to our commitment.

After carefully looking into your concerns, we noted that at least four accounts with the email address you provided have existed in our database, and they are all deactivated. We can confirm that you created your most recent account with us on 07/20/2023 through a partner-sponsored job on our site *************************************** on the information provided when you created your account, we began sending you matching job alert emails.
We did not spam you. We sent you information about relevant employment opportunities in accordance with your account settings. In addition, we do not and cannot create accounts for job seekers without their knowledge and permission. If you inadvertently created an account or no longer wish to receive our emails, you can deactivate the account yourself or reach out to us for assistance, as you ultimately did.

According to our records, you reached out to us via our Contact Us form on 07/25/2023 regarding your account and requested the removal of your information. We promptly addressed your request. Specifically, we deactivated your account, unsubscribed your email address, and took action to ensure your contact email address was added to our "Do Not Send" list.  As your account is deactivated, you should no longer receive emails from us and, in accordance with our privacy policy, we will not share your data.

If you have received any additional email from us since your account was deactivated, please forward them to [email protected] (as attachments). This will help us investigate the matter further and prevent it from happening again.

We wish you the best in your job search.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

For the record, Nexxt is NOT being honest. EVERYTHING stated in my complaint is 100% TRUE.  FACT: You most certainly SPAMMED ME just like all the. rest of the people who have filed complaints here.  FACT: You MOST CERTAINLY CREATE ACCOUNTS WITHOUT PERSON KNOWING!  I never created an account nor was I aware that an account was created until I got spammed to death. AS I said I read the fine print & I know ALL the tricks used.  I avoid creating 3rd party accounts or getting put in job board databases I don't want to be in.   I tried MANY times to unsubscribe & even called (but you needed a person's name to get through)  Contacting someone took an act of God. I resorted to sending a message via contact page which was designed for customers & not for unsubscribing. It was only after I wrote this complaint that the spam stopped.  FACT:  I've NEVER heard of nor have I visited www.sanfranciscogigs.com whom you said I recently created an account with, which makes you guilty. I never signed up for none of this - not them nor NEXXT.  Somebody did that covertly using my data without my knowledge or permission.  FACT: I wasn't ever sent "RELEVANT"  jobs!  NOT ONCE. Your AI is STUPUD.  I'm in the IT field, yet I got nothing but medical field  jobs.  Apparently your systems/partner's system who stole my information without my knowledge was too stupid to know that just because I apply at a healthcare company doesn't mean I'm in the medical industry!  FACT: YOUR SYSTEM DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO DEACTIVATE AN ACCOUNT YOURSELF AS YOU SAY.  STOP LYING!

      Regards,

Started (08/08/2022)getting emails from Nexxt about job in my area sent the first several to spam because I did not sign up for this. So I unsubscribe and it said I needed to log on. I went to their website and sure enough there is an account with my name email and cit I live in but that is it. No job preferences or job history or other pertinent information for a job search. So I clicked deactivate and low and behold I have gotten 15 more emails from nexxt or ***@email.nexxt.com. The first emails were from [email protected]. Now know that I have not signed up with any job seeking web sites. Because I am not in the job market. This is poor business practice. I don't know where you got my email. remove my email and do not contact me again

If this is the case that an affiliate gave them my information then they need to disclose that information as to who that affiliate is. So I can deal with them giving my information out. We looked further into *** ******’s complaint as he did not accept our initial response. We appreciate the  opportunity to provide him more information to address his concerns.
This confirms that our records show that *** ****** came to us on August 4, 2022 as a co-registration through  an affiliate. Specifically, the affiliate informed us that *** ****** came through the Quality Samples Today  website located at ***************************************************************. The affiliate informed  us that on the Quality Samples Today site *** ****** encountered the following signup page:

After completing the signup page, *** ****** would have then received a series of different offers that he could  either opt into or decline.
Nexxt’s offer was shown to him at some point during this series of click through offers and appeared as follows:

*** ****** had the ability to opt in by selecting “Yes” or decline by selecting “No, thanks” and move on to the  following offer.
*** ****** must have accepted our offer with the affiliate for the affiliate to share his information with us. The  affiliate provided his opt-in details to us, which authorized us to email *** ****** about job opportunities and  create his new member registration account.
Our records show that *** ****** successfully deactivated his account on August 8, 2022. *** ****** may have  continued to receive emails from us for a few days after his account deactivation due to messages scheduled for  send prior to his deactivation effective date. Additionally, our further research indicates that on August 19th, in  response to an inquiry from *** ****** saying he was still receiving emails, *** ******’s request to not receive  emails was inadvertently submitted to an internal process which triggered his receipt of additional messages on  August 19th. Upon discovering this while researching *** ******’s concerns more, we have updated our process  to prevent inadvertent email sends via this internal tool in the future. Our records show that August 19, 2022  was the last date that Nexxt sent email messages to *** ******.
Finally, we have verified that *** ******’s account remains deactivated and notated not to send him emails in  the future, unless he opts-in to receive messages from us again. Again, we appreciate the opportunity to  provide additional information to *** ******, and we trust we have addressed his concerns. If *** ****** has  questions in the future, we encourage him to contact us directly at [email protected] or ###-###-####.

I recieved a text, offering me a job that I never applied for from NEXXT, that I never signed up for. I have no login or account information, as I never created an account. This occurrred today 7/25/2022. I can not delete the account as I do not have one and wish for NEXXT to delete any information they have about me. Clearly another site shared my information and I wish to know which. So I can have my information deleted from there as well. There are too many scams and to have a company take my information and give it to scammers is a violation, in my book.

Our research shows that ****************** has had multiple accounts with our sites over several years. He initially created an account with our predecessor site on June 19,2014.  Thereafter **. ******* created three other accounts on our niche sites between July 2019 and April 2020.  *** *********** most recently came to us through an affiliate.  When accepting the affiliates offer, through accepting the affiliates terms he agreed that the affiliate could share his information with its marketing partners to provide him with additional job opportunities.  Based on this, his most recent account with us was created on March 20, 2022.  Our records show that he last accessed this account on April 6, 2022.

I randomly started receiving emails from Nexxt on April 7, 2022, one stating an account has been made, others sharing job offers in a field I never would look for jobs in, and most recently (April 8, 2022), an email from a ***** asking for my resume. I haven't been on a job search site for almost a year, and used only ******, ********, or the actual business site. The email these are being sent to isn't even the email I use for job sites and applications. I looked through the previous complaints and made the decision to go directly through the BBB to resolve this issue because, by the looks of it, going through Nexxt does absolutely nothing. I want my unsolicited account deleted, all my information the Nexxt has destroyed, to be unsubscribed from their email list, and to know where they got my information from.

Our research on this account shows that ************ came to us on April 7, 2022 as a co-registration through an affiliate.  In accepting the co-registration offer, ************ would have needed to provide her contact information, including her name, email, zip code, and title, and to check a box to agree to receive matching job alerts from us.  She also would have to affirmatively click Submit to continue with the registration and create an account with us.        In our prior response, we provided our data records showing that *** **** came to us on April 7, 2022 as a co-registration through an affiliate. We provided the name and link of the affiliate and the path that would have to have been provided for Nexxt to get her information.  As previously described, in accepting the co-registration offer, *** **** would have needed to provide her contact information, including her name, email, zip code, and title, and to check a box to agree to receive matching job alerts from us. She also would have to affirmatively click “Submit” to continue with the registration and create an account with us. Accordingly, this underscores that her receiving emails from Nexxt was neither random nor unsolicited. We do not and CAN NOT signup registrants without their knowledge and permission.  It also would make no sense, and would provide no benefit to Nexxt, to provide job alerts to anyone who does not want them.  We regret that *** **** disagrees with the facts presented, but the data records remain the facts.
