BEWARE GETTING NEW TIRES HERE!!! MAKE SURE YOU TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR WHEELS BEFORE COMING HERE!!!Ive been coming here the past 2-3 years for new tires and Ive had zero complaints up until today. I got four brand new tires and when I went to my car after they were finished, all 4 of the rims on my wheels were scratched. Some of them look like curb rash so I guess one of them drove along a curb going in or coming out of the shop, the rest are from the machine. I spoke to a worker there and he said that he cant help me and theres no proof that they did it. I clean my wheels once a week and they have been spotless up until now. I requested to see the camera footage, and convenient enough for them, they dont have cameras in their garage. Repairing my wheels are now going to cost me $650 due to their negligence.

      Business response

      08/30/2023

In response to listed complaint, I would like to begin with the facts. The customer has not been coming here for 2 to 3 years, the first visit was 4-22-2022 for 2 tires. There was one additional visit for tires on 1-21-2023 prior to this visit on 8-18-2023. As there have been no issues prior to this visit and the wheels have been the same the entire time, then there would be marks on the wheels due to the 22,248 miles that were driven between 4-22 & 8-23. When customer came to pick up vehicle on 8-18-2023, he did pay for his tires and took a employee to his vehicle to show him damage on the rims, the employee stated that he can not say from looking at them that he can prove that we did or did not scratch the rims. Next step was customer called local Police who did show up and spoke to customer and then employee and then left with no ability to do anything further than take a report.. I received a note that customer called, so returned his call Monday 8-21-2023, left message and he returned my call 8-21-2023 @ 2:57pm. In this conversation he stated " I parked my car at the back right of garage when I came in and maybe they did it or I (himself) drove into the curb, who knows". At this time I was requesting that he bring the vehicle in so I can see the rim damage and also show him the tire machine for visual verification of how they were done and look at curbs as we do not drive / park beside the curbs but pull up to them so that we may resolve the issue. He stated he was unable to come today prior to our closing time due to having the car elsewhere getting an alignment, but offered to come Friday 8-25-2023 which I said would be fine. As of the writing of this response, the only things I have seen are a Review on ****** with the same complaint that the BBB has asked for a response to which is dated the same day I offered to review this issue with the customer. So in synopsis, something does not feel right about this situation and the timeline of events that happened and not allowing us the opportunity to resolve this amicably. I will await your response.

I took my car in for tires and was quoted a price for the tires. We scheduled an appointment the day of the appointment we were told sorry the tech sold those tires and had to buy more expensive tires. They were to keep one of my tires and give it to us because it was still ok my daughter took the car to the appointment and they did not give her the tire we called the very next morning and they said they didnt have the tire. They lied about the tires we were to get and never gave us back our original one. They owe me money for the tire and increased charges for the tire because they should have keep what we agreed to

Purchase date" June 13, 2023. Tires Etc. 616 Upper State Rd, North Wales. Pa. 19454. Tele# ###-###-####. On above listed date I went to the Tires Etc located above to purchase 4 new tires for my 2016 ***** *********. When it came time to pay my bill, "****" told me that all 4 of my wheels were bent and that he would send me to "****" to have them straightened at a cost of $200 EACH. That if I drove on them without being fixed I would experience vibration. I told him that I disagreed with him because I had just driven 700 miles that weekend and there was no vibration on the Turnpike at speeds up to 80 MPH. It is printed on the invoice that all 4 of my wheels are bent. On Saturday June 17 I left for North Carolina on vacation and as soon as I hit 70 MPH on the Turnpike I had heavy vibration from the tires. I immediately returned home and switched to my wife's car and drove to NC. My thoughts were that my wheels were damaged during the installation of the new tires. I called the tire store and spoke to **** who told me that I didn't know what I was talking about and became belligerent and told me to call corporate. I called the number provided several times and never got a response. We returned from NC early due to bad weather and I took my vehicle to **********'s Tires in Glenside. I was told that the wheels on my vehicle were not at all bent and that the tires were improperly balanced. One of the wheels has 9 1/2 ounces of wheel weights on it. The tires were re-balanced at a cost of $89.00. I them went on Rt. *** and drove several miles at 75 Mph with no issues. At this point I am out about $90 for a tire warranty and tire rotation policy that I purchased from Tires Etc, as I will never go back there, and $89 from having the tires proper balanced at **********s Tires in Glenside.

On 04/03/2023 I took my car, a 2005 ***** ***** with 140,000 miles on it to Tires Etc. I spoke with ***** about a stripped and rounded out caliper bolt and asked them to just drill it out and replace it. The next day I received a call saying it needed 3,018$ worth of work including a valve cover gasket replacement, a new CV axel, and an oil pan replacement. I authorized the work and paid and picked up my car the next day. That night while pulling out of a parking spot the axel dropped and threw out my transmission. I had it towed there and the next day I was told the part was defective and they would fix the axel, but I needed a new alternator. I told them not to do the alternator and to wait until I arrived. When I arrived they had already put in the alternator and tried to charge me for it despite my clear wishes not to have it done. After a dispute I left with my car and discovered they charged me 200$ for sway end link bolts that they didn’t install.

Good Day,On April 24, 2022 I took my wife car to Tires ETC at **************************************************************** for overheating.**** the shops manager after and hour came back and said that the Thermostat is defective and he had to replace that.I told him to take care of. After another the other shop technician(***) came and said that It is recommended to change the hoses as they are replacing the thermostatHe gave me a quote and I gave him my approval to proceed with the repair.I paid $723.16 and took the car home. I called **** same day in the afternoon and told him that there is trace of leakage underneath the car on my driveway. He said that there might be some residue which had not been cleaned and its fine.On April 24th , my wife drove the car to ***, she called me around 9:00am from *********** and said that the car was overheating and she had to pull over. I had to drove to her location and gave my car so she can continue her trip.I called Geico for tow truck. As the car was in *********** extension( End of I-276 E), they told me that the car should be towed out of *********** in order for them to send a tow car.The tow truck dropped the car at Tires ETC at 7:30pm same day.On 25th in the afternoon **** called and said they are working on it and apparently air was in the system, They will bleed the air and should be ready next day. I talked to him regarding reimbursement for towage and he told me that he has to talk to his boss.I took the car on April 26th , he told me that they will reimburse only one tow. I told him to reimburse the $220 invoice. He said he works on it.On May 9th, I found the car is overheating again. I dropped the car on May 10th, at this time **** told me that there was a pinch hole in hose which they replace the hose under part warranty. I picked up the car next day.On October 14th, I called and found that the shops manager has changed and I told the new manager(*****) about the history of car and still I have the same issue.I took the car back to the shop on October 24th, ***** called me and said there was nothing wrong but the car has low oil and that might be the cause for overheating. He said that they checked everything after oil change(Cost $105.31)and you should be good to go. On November 24th I called ***** telling the same issue still exists. I dropped the car on December 01st December. ***** Called me and told me that the thermostat and water pump need to be replaced. I told him that the Thermostat was renewed in the first place when the car overheated first time. He said his record does not show replacement of thermostat. I insisted and told him that I am 100% sure that they told me that they replaced the thermostat on the first visit.I told him that it should be under warranty as I had the same issue since then. He said that he had to check the job code to see if they replaced that but still it needs a water pump which replacement cost is about $1400. I told him over the phone that I was not happy and I would like to pick up the car.Next day I picked the car and contacted the Buick dealer and told them the whole story. The dealer report indicates that the job done by ETC Tires was not proper, Dealer replaced the same hoses were changed initially by ETC Tires, apparently the clamps were not tighten and the hoses were not cut correctly.I paid about $1200. (The invoice is attached).I would like Tires ETC to refund me the amount I paid to them plus the one tow charges as they promised, that is $723.16 + $220 = $943.16 I spent a lot of my time going back & forth to their shop and all these would not happened if they were doing a proper job in the first place.I appreciate helping me to recover this amount. Please call me if you need more information.Yours Sincerely,*******************************

We brought our ****** ****** automobile to Tires Etc. at ***********************, Montgomeryville, PA ********* ************* (associated with Tire Etc. regional HQ’s in West Chester, PA) for tire service in late-November 2021. While the tires were off during the service, they claimed we needed a CV axle replaced because grease was slowly leaking onto the tire. Tires Etc. had stated that is was a slow leak but would eventually need to be repaired and that they can do it now while the tires were off. We agreed to have the work done. At pickup we noted the steering and driving at highway speeds didn't feel quite right. Since they closed for the night, we were to bring it back the next day to have it checked out. But before we could, the axle broke off and jammed the transmission. We called *** to have a flatbed truck come to tow the car to the ****** dealership on November 24, 2021 since the car was not drivable and we didn't know what exactly happened. We have always done maintenance at the ****** dealership. The ****** dealership found that the tip of the new CV axle broke off into the car's transmission system rendering the car from shifting into gear.****** also told us that the CV axle was not a ****** factory part. Regardless, this was a vehicle we needed, we knew the damage was caused by faulty work by Tires Etc and we certainly did not trust them to additional repairs. However, we did reach out to them and connected them with the ****** service manager. He explained what they found and the repair plan. At that time, it was unclear if the transmission was destroyed. We stated we wanted the dealership to fix what Tires Etc. broke. Reaching out to Tires Etc. they claimed that it wasn't their fault but the parts company's fault. We paid Tires Etc. $536.35 and ********** $1,037.66. We are looking to have the full amount refunded at $1,574.01 (Tires Etc. originally cost of $536.35 + *** cost of $1,037.66). Reimbursement for Tires Etc, repair damage corrected by ***.
