Hi, We recently purchased a Volkswagen ******, we also traded in our Volkswagen ****** which had about 107,127 miles (VIN Number: *****************) on it. During this process, the person of contact at York Volkswagen (*** ****) said that he could give us $4500. However, he also said to us that he would reduce $500 on the car we were about to purchase. he said if we agreed to buy the car then that he would make a deal and made us sign on a piece of paper we were never given. Also every time I asked about the trade in value, *** kept just talking about how much the monthly payment would be. We got our eyes only on what our affordability would be monthly and he successful talked us out of the trade in value conversation. At this point we were fine with the actual rate of the car and what he said he would offer for the trade in ($4500). From then on, we just believed in what was said and when we made the deal no print out and explanation was given to us, in fact the person from Finance brought an **** and made us sign on the **** without out giving us the **** in hand. Also no explanation further was given about the trade value of our car. After we signed, they gave us a USB which had the documents we signed, we are still under the impression that 4500 was offered as trade in. We only noticed that after a week of purchase, then contacted them about how we really got cheated out of our money. The person initially denied everything he said to us and kept pointing out to the paper we signed. Finally they would not even respond to our calls. Then a person who we never even interacted with talked to us and was our right harassed us saying "how junk our car was" and initially said they had auctioned the car and changed the word to say they had junked the car. We really feel cheated out of our hard earned money and I really feel very depressed that how a registered dealership can cheat us without any ethics whatsoever.
