    I booked a Provence trip well in advance with this company, sometime in Nov 2019 to travel in June 2020 to take advantage of their Early Booking Discount. The rate was $ 4,098.00 (per person) minus early booking discount of $1,100 (per person), total for $5996 for 2 people. I paid it in full in March 2020. When covid was widespread, of course we could not to France in June 2020, Christy, the owner did not reimburse us, and I know many other tours like **** ****** were giving people their money back. Instead we got a credit towards a future trip. Summer 2021 did not happen either since France was closed to Americans till Fall and my mom and I wanted to visit Provence during Lavender season. We moved our reservation to July 2022. I understand inflation and price increase but this morning I got an invoice for another $4264.00 for 2 people! That is in addition to $5996.00 I already paid in March 2020- fully paid for 2 people for their Provence tour! They had that amount from us for over 2 years, and now they hiked the price for this tour and we get no discount for the same trip in July 2022. I would never pick a trip that would cost me $1000 per person per night – this tour is only 5 nights, and not all meals are included. They will not give me my $5996.00 back but to go on this tour I have to come up with another $4264.00, which I did not expect. They "got us" and put us in a financially unexpected situation. We all went thru challenges because of Covid, loss of business, etc. but I can’t believe Off the Beaten Path would hike our price this much, by $4264.00 for 2 people! Do you think this is reasonable to do to customers and price trap us like that?
