    Sent this email today----------- Please remove the hold on the water bill for **** ****** ****, York, Pa ***** It's paid now I never received a return call back -called 3 x yesterday I am trying to pay a bill I never received I provided my email address so I could pay the bill immediately yesterday No bill ever received Still says water shut off 5/3-you taped it to the door today I called yesterday to pay and no assistance and you still taped it to the door today Now calling S Township for the 5th time as spoke to them earlier Still did not tell me how to pay Calling again 3:24 -finally someone assisting( ******) I would like my late fees waived as you never billed me -never forwarded a bill to me or sent one to the home (**** ****** ****, York, PA *****) please contact me asap

    York Water advises the customer to contact the Company at ************ or [email protected].  The Company is unaware of what the customer is referencing in the BBB complaint but believes the customer can get a speedy resolution by reaching out to the Company directly.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I contacted the company prior to filing this complaint

    I contacted them by email and phone-both
    The email I received in return from them indicated they knew nothing about my complaint

    I am calling again today -chose the complaint department - the phone message indicates' technical difficulties-call back again " and hung up 5/23 2:00 pm

    The matter is unresolved because when I called several times for 3 days when they threatened to turn the water off( which was paid in full)-no one offered their  the complaint department and no one assisted
    The matter is unresolved because no one answered my email or returned my call I made after those initial 3 days
    And then responded via email to this BBB complaint that they knew nothing about it

    I called again 3/23/23 2:03 -same message-technical difficulties

    I was contacted by a manager.

    He indicated the fault lies with *********** Township not them.
    This is the same response I received from both companies initially - one blaming the other.
    He was unable to assist in any way.
    He reiterated the high amount of the bill that was sent several times (that I never received) as though I was not telling the truth.
    He advised me my address was correct on their computer and I agreed as it was corrected after my initial call but not prior-perhaps the reason I never received any bills.

    He concluded the call after advising me unable to help me and telling me the same thing about the amount and my address several times.
    I thanked him and hung up

    We moved out of Felton Pennsylvania in May 2022. When we moved I called The York Water company and informed them of our move, not needing services, as well as paying the final bill. Yesterday, April 11th 2023, I received a bill in the mail from The York Water Company wanting $325.42 for the billing cycle between August 2022 to September 2022. As previously stated I informed The York Water Company of our move and canceling services in May 2022. The York Water Company stated I can call the new owners and have them pay it or else it will go into collection for me. With them knowing I canceled services, this should not have even been sent to me. Hoping this can be resolved ASAP. Thank you!

    ********************** & ****************************** initiated wastewater service with York Water effective 2/22/2021.  The Company records indicate that a call was received from ******************* on 9/27/22 stating that he sold **********************Felton, PA on 5/29/22.  However, the Company has no record of a request by ************** to end service. Since no request was received, the billing continued.  The Company did receive an email from Felton Borough stating that the settlement for the new owner of ************ occurred on 8/1/22.  Attached are copies of the documents recently mailed to ************** informing his of his delinquency.

    It is the Company's position that the billing is correct and no adjustment is due.  If the amount is not paid, the account will be sent to collections.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I did not call the business to terminate our services. When I paid my last bill I physically went into The York Water Company building located at ***********************, York, PA *******  I spoke with an older lovely woman who said she would be happy to terminate since I am paying my last bill. As records indicated we moved out of ** in May. It seems to me that the woman I spoke to at The York Water Company building did not terminate our services upon request.
