      I have all the paperwork being sent to your mailing address in PA. I want my $46. refunded to me. Basically, they took my credit card charged it and didn't give me the product. Then they tell me they won't give me a refund that I owe them more money for the 6 months plan. I told them I am not doing that and to refund my money. Then they give me a complimentary 6 months which I used a little., But I still wanted my refund of $46.00. I will send you everything I have. If you had an email address I could email you other things.

      There still seems to be some confusion concerning the subscription you attempted to purchase for $45.00. As we’ve already mentioned to you several times, no “refund” was ever made or promised because your purchase was “voided” or “cancelled” the same day that you tried purchasing it. That means no charge was ever made to your credit card. We’ve already sent you proof of the cancelled transaction, and I have included it again in our reply here. I would encourage you to contact your card company about this order that was cancelled to verify that no charge for $45.00 was made to your card.

      I joined Catholic match for one month to see if I could meet some Catholic men. I had closed my credit card to Auto payment prior to my month being up. They took another payment out of my checking account. There is virtually no way to cancel your payment , except to send a message that they do not respond to. In the month I have been on Catholic match I have had 2 contacts. They just do not have enough members on their site. I am on OurTime there are more Catholics on there than Catholic match. I do not bother even looking at my account on Catholic Match because no one ever contacts me. I think it is wrong to charge for something that is failing. I would like my last payment returned to my checking and for them to stop taking money out of my account.

      I’m sorry to hear that you weren’t able to find the option to turn off your automatic renewal feature; it can be found on your Account page. I see from our records that you sent us a Help ticket on 5/6/2022 at 4:26pm and that we responded to it a few hours later at 7:02pm by refunding the renewal charge at that time and removing your account as requested. Now that this has been resolved, no matter where you continue your search for a match, I wish you the best.

      I purchased a one-month subscription to Catholic Match. They immediately signed me up for auto-renew, which I attempted to cancel immediately after purchasing. I was just charged for another one-month subscription, without my knowledge or consent, and against my wishes and attempts to cancel. This business is guilty of fraudulent and deceptive business practices. Further, my account is now locked, and I have received no reply from the business, and no refund. I am requesting a full refund of the additional $29.99 that I was fraudulently and deceptively charged on 4/28/2022, an explanation, and an apology. Thank you.

      I see from our records that you were a member on CatholicMatch previously from 2017 through 2021 before creating a new account in March 2022. During that time period you had several subscriptions and already experienced that once a subscription is purchased, it will automatically renew unless you turn off your renewal feature from your account page. Looking at your new account created and subscribed on 3/27/2022, I see that you never sent us a message requesting our help if you were having difficulty turning off your automatic renewal; we can’t reply to a message that was never sent to us. Since you didn’t turn off the feature in time, it did renew on 4/27/2022 for another month and you continued to use our Premium features to send messages as recently as 4/28/2022; your current account was never locked; you can still access it and I see that you have now turned off the renewal feature.

      That being said, as a courtesy given that you didn’t continue using our Premium features after 4/28/2022 and it is now 5/11/2022, I have refunded your renewed subscription in the full amount of $29.99 and removed your account since you no longer want to use our service.

      I've been trying to get Catholic Match to deactivate and refund me my money and they have been argumentative and trying to tell me how to meet men on their site, not deactivating my profile. It is not a Catholic site except in name only. It was once, but not any more. I've asked for a refund or partial refund. It was my fault for signing up. But they are not discussing that. They are just having several people telling me how to search and message men. I don't want to be on their site any more. They aren't interested in deactivating my profile or refunding.

      I’m sorry to hear of ******** dissatisfaction. Since she did use our services over a 6 month time period we aren’t able to refund her purchase. In addition, she requested that her account be removed which we did on 3/23/2022. If she changes her mind and prefers to continue using the remainder of the time left on her subscription, she can just let us know and we’ll be happy to recover her account and customize a search for her.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

      [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]I've been asking for help from them for six months which they have not done.  That is why I have come to BBB.  I'm asking for at least have of a refund if not full refund.  It is the least that they can do.  I have not been able to use their services as nothing has worked on their site.  They do not provide assistance or anything, which I've been messaging them for some time.  They are argumentative or they ignore.  They do nothing to help which I've called them on.  They ignore me.

      I have tried unsuccessfully to get Catholicmatch.com to stop sending me e-mails. I have followed the instructions they have provided but I'm unable to get past their window that requires me to complete a profile. Please help to resolve this annoying issue.

      I'm sorry to hear that you no longer want our emails. You are receiving them because you still have an account on CatholicMatch and so receive the emails that we send all of our members. The only way to stop those is to remove your account or send us a help ticket from the sign in page so that we can do that for you.  That being said, I've now removed your account which will stop all emails from us within 72 hours.
