Coventry Animal Hospital/Salt Ponds Animal Hospital were recommended to me to spay my two new puppies, so I brought them for pre-surgery blood tests where ****************** told me that liver enzymes were mildly elevated. They recommended several tests to precisely diagnose the issue, and I agreed to a liver biopsy, which they recommended as the best option to precisely diagnose the issue causing the liver enzymes to be mildly elevated. In her notes, ****************** expresses her frustration that I did not agree to a list of several diagnostic tests that could have also been done. She crafted her chart in a way that sabotaged the chance of my puppy from receiving insurance coverage for most systems of the body by creating a broad range of pre-existing conditions. With the biopsy results, ************ stated "nothing worrisome", but his weak diagnosis did not mitigate the harm that ****************** had already caused with her alarmist language used in illustrating possible worst case scenarios. In addition to missing information, there were errors in the lab report. ************ admitted that he frequently has problems with his lab, and when I called the office, they sent a lab report with different information. I voiced concerns about my experience with his practice to ************ as he is an owner, and he told me that he understood my concerns, but that he would not do anything differently. I requested that my pet's records not be sent to anyone but to myself, and they sent these damaging records directly to the pet's insurance company. This veterinary practice advocates against pets having best possible outcomes. I urge anyone whose pet has been treated by Coventry Animal Hospital or Salt Ponds AH to have a different veterinarian review any lab work that was performed and all records for errors. I have had pets for decades and have seen many vets over the years, and this is the first time I have experienced vets who are so motivated by money that they behave unethically.
