The incident occurred on March 3rd, 2023. I had my car detailed after one of my dogs got skunked and my car smelled horrible. I called Blue Wave Car Wash in **********, **. On March 4th, I dropped my ****** Forester off @ Blue Wave. They did a thorough cleaning- five hours total to get my ****** Forester all fancied up. The price was $300. Upon leaving Blue Wave, I found the steering wheel hard to turn, and the brakes not working incredibly well. I just assumed that with the five hours they spent detailing the cars system that maybe everything had to be reset in the car and all would be fine. Im not a mechanic, so I just drove home. The next morning when I pressed the starter on my ****** Forester, all the lights in my car came on and started buzzing. It looked like a pinball machine. And then everything just shut off. I had to have it towed to the ****** dealership. Towing was $103. I then called the mgr @ Blue Wave to inform him of what had transpired. He took no responsibility and further stated that the ****** dealership would not find them at fault. Well, the dealership did find them at fault and said I quote: Tech found water in fuse panel and carpet soaking wet from detail. Water had seeped down below the carpet and gotten the computer modules wet, which has caused the warning lights to come on along with the lack of steering brake assist so on and so on. I brought this over to Blue Wave Car Wash and they still refused to own the problem. I pd $403 total including the towing for this. Even after reading the techs notes, the car wash mgr denied responsibility.
