When I first purchase the vehicle in September I return with the vehicle the third day of having it in my possession demanding my money back and was told that I was not getting my money back. I'm handicapped and I live in ********** ************ for the next 3 months I was told to bring the vehicle back up and down the highway because they kept saying that they fixed the problem and the problem was never fixed with the vehicle I then proceeded to call the Attorney General's office only to be pointed back to this website in the end. Now Barry's Auto Group is closed for Good not only am I stuck paying the car note but the vehicle is no longer drivable there are six recalls on this vehicle. If I have to write you a letter a day for the next 30 Years I'm going to write you a letter a day for the next 30 years because I want my money back and at this point I deserve a new vehicle! I want the $18,000 back that has been invested in this vehicle.Initial Complaint

I went to the dealership and a deal/approval was made on June 22nd, 2022 and paperwork was signed for the vehicle on that date as well. They did not have the vehicle we were getting from them until we picked it up on July 5th,2022 and upon picking it up we asked about a registration for the vehicle and was told they were submitting for the registration on that day(7/5/22). We never received a registration for the vehicle and because of that we have lost my insurance on a vehicle. I spoke with the sales manager and told them we did not want the vehicle because we were lied to about a bank approval and had been driving a vehicle without a registration for 2 1/2 weeks now and that we just wanted our money we put down on the vehicle $1000 and the money for my trade in vehicle considering it was no longer around and my only response was to bring the vehicle back. We traded in our old vehicle towards the down payment of the vehicle and so bringing that car back we wont have a vehicle anymore and now on July 29th,2022 we have been notified there was never a deal approved for the vehicle that we signed paperwork for on 6/22/22. The vehicle was said to have nothing wrong with it upon picking it up and I spoke with ****** because there was a mandatory maintenance required see dealer on the dash, who told me there was a safety recall on the vehicle as well. I found the dealership in question to be very unprofessional when working with them.Business Response

We are happy to refund your money and cancel this transaction. We had you fully approved based on the correct stipulations but those stipulations were unmet. I will have someone from our dealership contact you to arrange for a refund and get our vehicle back to the lot. Thank you!Customer Answer

The company is telling me they are only giving me $100 for the trade in vehicle I gave them. And my $1000 back. I have lost my insurance company from this illegal deal. Papers signed and vehicle taken before the bank finalized a deal with us.

On March 20, 2022, I went to Barrys Auto Group and purchased a 2015 Acura RDX, with a down payment of $6,500.00 and a total price of over $17,000. Four days later I took the vehicle back to get the brakes done, but had also mentioned to them that the motor has been ticking on a cold start. When I picked the vehicle up, they told me they could not hear it or even do anything about it until it throws a code. My boyfriend sent them emails of videos of the noise the motor was making. I then hot into an accident and the car was in a body shop for a month. I got the car back from the body shop and 2 weeks later the engine light came on, so I called an actual Acura dealership. They took it in, and informed me that the timing tensioner pulley and few other motor parts are bad, which would soon cause my motor to seize. So my boyfriend went back to Barrys to try to get them to fix the lemon they sold me. They refused to have service look at it and instead pulled my credit report EIGHT times without my consent to try to get me into a different vehicle. They could not get me approved for a 2011 *** 535i XDrive, so they called my boyfriend to tell HIM he they were able to get him approved for a 2019 ********** Jetta. We respectfully declined this, because my boyfriend is not the one who is in need of a vehicle. They then consensually ran my credit twice for the Jetta and were able to get me approved, but at the end of the payments Id be paying close to $50,000, at this point we told them we would just fix my car out of pocket. On Saturday they ran my credit again not consensually twice, then called to tell me they were able to get me approved for a ************************************************************************************************************************ total they have ran my credit based on a credit application from March and without my permission 11 times. They have only made the situation worse as I am trying to buy a house. They need to be held responsible.Business Response

Salyssa,
I'm very sorry to see that you are frustrated with your most recent visit to our dealership. I can completely understand your frustration and for that I again am terribly sorry! We are of course unable to get you approved for any vehicle without credit information which if you asked us to get you approved on the 2011 **** you must have supplied this information. We send your credit information to the lenders we feel as though would be the best option for an approval but once we send this information over and try different vehicles your credit is not run again. It is indeed run however by each lender we use to get you an approval. Regarding your vehicle, you have a great extended service contract that covers your engine and if your vehicle does need an engine, you would have a new one installed in your vehicle free of charge. Please contact me directly to fill me in as to what is going on with the vehicle currently to see if I can assist. Again, very sorry for any inconvenience you have experience, but I hope I can help!

I have all the documentation of the car having problems since the 4th day I owned it, as well as diagnosis documentation from the Acura dealership. If you, *****, could please contact me directly, that would be greatly appreciated, as the floor manager has not done much to assist other than use my credit application from March 2022 to run my credit upon the consent of my boyfriend but NOT myself, to try to get me into a more expensive vehicle and trade my vehicle in for less than what I paid. My phone number is ************, and the best email to reach me at is ************************** I appreciate your quick response to this situation.
Best,
Salyssa *****

I'm in the market for a pick up truck. I live locally in ******* **, I figured I'd give our local car dealership a try. Found a truck that I did like an sat down with a young salesman to see what could be done to get the vehicle. I gave him a $500.00 deposit to hold the vehicle until a decision was madw. A older salesman comes an takes over the sale. The vehicle price was $20,490.00. He attempted to get me to finance through them, bringing the car to $26k with interest. I considered it. Once they seen I bit on that offer they switched it to $30k with interest. I said no thank you I'm alset. I did like the vehicle so I went out of my way to see if I could get approved through another bank or credit union for the financial difference. Once I told them I was going through a different bank that I would be able to buy the car out with a check through the credit union I found(PenFed). Upset that I was going through a different bank they add on $1750.00 for reconditioning fee and $620.00 for tax an registration. I didn't like it but I excepted it, I said I would pay that out of pocket. Once do everything, check comes in, they switch everything again an now the balance to clear. The vehicle is now almost $25,000.00. I said I'm not paying a extra 5 grand when I already have to pay interest to the bank I was going through. I didn't have it. I have the conversation thread between me an the salesman with him being clear an telling me exactly how much was needed to clear the remaining balance. I said can't do that I'm alset. I been nothing but kind an professional, just trying to buy a truck for work. Now I've wasted my time an the credit unions time, I still have their check thankfully but now they are not trying ro return me my deposit. I have a receipt from when I gave it to them an still not good enough. They're trying to keep my money an I need it to continue looking for a vehicle. I did everything I could on my to make it work an they just kept switching it up adding more.Business Response
