To better understand and address your complaint, its important to clarify a few key details. Could you please specify which car part you purchased, the date of the transaction, and the exact issue you encountered with the part? The return policy, which is outlined on the back of the receipt, clearly states which parts will be replaced. However, your statement regarding the shirt being removed and a gun being shown is concerning. This type of behavior is completely inappropriate and would not be tolerated in our establishment. We take such matters seriously, so in order to properly investigate and address your complaint, we kindly ask that you provide more precise information. Thank you for your time and cooperation."

I purchased a lower control arm for a 2015 Acura mdx for capital city auto salvage . After trying to install the I noticed the bushing was broken . I subsequently returned the part for a replacement or refund . The front desk person called the owner to resolve the issue . He was very rude and stated you do know this is a used part right ? And I said yes but I dont expect to buy a broken part . He then asked the front desk to look for a replacement for me . But unfortunately they didnt have a replacement so I was offered store credit or par another $75 for a different part they have to order . I rejected the offer and told them to either refund me or give me another part for the same price . The owner stated he never guaranteed the part so Ill have to either take the part like that or I lonely get a store credit and hes not refunding my money . I stated it was not my fault that they sold a broken part and I should be refunded or given another part but he refused to refund my money and only gave me store credit . I think this is an unethical business practice and I was told hes onow for doing dubious things like this

************** did purchase a lower control arm for a 2015 Acura MDX from Capital City Salvage on
June 12, 2023.  A few hours later ************** returned and stated that the bushing was worn out.  The front desk person explained our policy to ************** but then had to get the owner involved.  The owner had to use pliers to see what ************** was referring to and the only thing he could do is replace it.  We searched our database for a replacement however we didn't have one.  We informed ************** that we could order him one from another location but it would cost an additional $75.00.  The original part we sold was priced at $150 however since we didn't have another one available, we could order one for an additional $75.00 or give him a credit. Our policy here is that we will replace or provide credit to any part that might have an issue.

************** was informed that this is a used part, the part came from a working vehicle but it's NOT new.  The owner wasn't rude however he had to explain that it's a used part.  Every customer gets to see the product prior to walking out of the shop.  There is no intention to sell broken parts however after you look at the product and pay for the product and leave the shop you then own the product.  Just like a dealership with a new product- they don't accept returns especially on an opened product.   Again, just like ************** stated in his opening sentence....I purchased a lower control arm for a 2015 Acura mdx for capital city auto salvage.
A salvage yard sells used parts they are working parts but they are NOT new parts.  It wasn't a new product.
