10 stars! I truly dont know where to begin with how WONDERFUL Window Source of RI/the Puopolo family is. Everyone from ** was timely, professional, had quality products, were reasonably priced, and has skilled in-house installers (not outsourced)- simply put. ******* and his dad are lifelong window-ologists, paired with Aleea as the logistics pro, and the skilled installers- they truly the most dynamically fantastic window professionals. Thank you all - from our family to yours!

From Day One, there have been problems. I had a sealed Oriole window in my kitchen, so called Window Source of RI. They sent out a rep to see the window and I said because of a spinal fracture I wanted a half and half window that would be easier for me to lift. Despite that, he ordered an ****** and when the installation crew showed up, I had to reject it. So a half-and-half window was installed. This is a ceiling-to-floor window and I had to step on the sill of the bottom half in order to close the window, but then I could not lock it because the two halves didn't meet completely. Today I was asked to pay $200 for a re-install. Thankfully, the two guys did a great job. The windows lock now. My complaint is not about the installation, but rather about the $200 I was charged when this has been a nightmare from Day One. My advice to the company is install correctly the first time and your customers will be a lot happier. Secondly, don't charge a customer to replace a ******************** for a job that was done poorly by your staff!

On 7/6/2022 I contracted with The Window Source of ** for the replacement of my bow window in my living room for a cost of $6,083.00. On 9/7/2022 they came to replace the window. When they were finished, there was a three inch at the bottom of the new window frame the whole length of the window where they had pulled the old frame out and just left it. There were holes in the plaster and this was left unfinished as the new frame did not cover it. Also the caulking that they used was not the right caulking which should have been used. Also on the outside, there is a patch of about two inches which they did as the piece that they cut was not long enough. I took pictures of all this and submitted them to The Window Source and the woman said that they were told not to use the caulking that was used. They could send someone to patch the holes in the plaster but that was it. I paid $518 to have the caulking replaced, the holes plastered, sanded and painted to match as close as we could to the walls. I also intend to take this matter to the Small Claims Court as they left it in a very unsatisfactory/unfinished condition. I can provide pictures of the above lack of workmanship as described above (which were also provided to Window Source). As stated in the television ad for Window Source, the owner stays on the job which is an untrue statement. He was there for about ten minutes chit-chatting with the workers, not anything about the window. Would definitely not recommend Window Source to anyone in the future.

The Window Source of R.I. Response

The owner of Window Source went to the job during installation and the customer voiced her concerns. ******* told her the space difference in question under the window often happens due to the insulated seat. Per contract we do not paint and some touch up may be needed. As for the office we did not speak to the customer about the caulking until job was competed her home has stained wood protocol we use clear silicone. We were not aware of trim being painted white, we would have been glad to use/ leave white with customer. Once finding out about this we offered to go back out and fix and concerns but she had a contractor fixing it.

My experience with this company was terrible. The only reason I'm even giving them a single star is because they did show up when they said they would. Back in November, they knowingly installed defective windows in my elderly Mother's house. The snap beads on almost all of the windows were awful. Instead of lying flush against the window exterior and sash, many of the corners overlapped each other creating large gaps. When I contacted the owner/installer from Window Source ( approximately 15 minutes after he left the job), he acknowledged he noticed the defect while installing the windows. I asked him why he would knowingly install defective windows and not mention it to us. His response was that the defects were only cosmetic. We refused to accept that. Between November and April he came out to the house four times before it was resolved. On two occasions, the windows he brought out to correct the issue were the wrong size and had the same defects. He blamed the manufacturer. While I understand he doesn't make the windows, I was surprised he did that. I unsuccessfully tried to contact the manufacturer myself. It appears the manufacturer is an LLC within another LLC with no contact information for customer service or complaints. ********************************************* refused my request to refund my Mother so she could hire someone to do the job correctly. At that point, I received a call from the manufacturer's Regional Direct Sales Manager with Asssociated Materials. While he was apologetic, he wasn't much help.If I had to do it all over again ( hopefully I won't), I'd work with a well known manufacturer that is willing to speak with its customers to resolve issues. Being forced to resolve everything through the installer was not a good experience.

I posted the same review on ****** as I am posting here I recently had 15 windows of various sizes installed to replace the replacement windows that had been installed incorrectly prior to me buying my home. This was not an easy one, two, three,it's done job. The windows were not square and a couple of them were actually installed into sheetrock and not wood frame. These guys busted their butts to correct each window frame before they even could install the windows. One window was actually sitting on a ledge. That's right whoever had installed this window had created an outdoor ledge for the outer part of the window to sit on. Who does that? The owner **** had come out to do the measurements and he measured each window three times and we knew it was going to be a mess because most of the windows weren't even the same size and the way that they had been installed. The cost of the windows was considerably less than another well-known company that I had considered going with. The owner came on the job site a couple of times to check to see how everything was going and to go over the care for the windows. There were a couple of things that I noticed last night ; nothing major. I called them today and the owner is coming out tomorrow to check on it. That is really prompt. Time will tell as winter has not come upon us yet. I will say these last few days have been hot and I could not put my AC back in the window for several reasons that I'm not going to get into right now so all I have is fans on in my living room and I am completely comfortable and my living room gets the bulk of the heat in the worst part of the day.To me that shows that not only does their video show he not escaping it also tells me that severe heats is not coming in for these windows. They did a fairly decent job in cleaning up. Better than a lot of companies that have done work on my houses over the course of years. I highly recommend them.
