Over Christmas, this facility had a pipe burst due to cold temperatures. Several units were flooded including mine. Despite saying that they had onsite help to assist customers with moving items, I have been to their facility twice and could find no one to help. I requested three months of credit to my account in order to offset the cost of hiring movers to move my belongings so that I could assess the damage and they refused. They would only give me 2 weeks to move my items to another unit. I have rented a 10x10 unit that is filled with my late husband’s belongings and sorting through those damaged items is very difficult for me and will take time. I requested a month but they refused my request. You cannot ever speak to a live person to get assistance and they are not providing the help that they promised customers who incurred a loss. I am so very frustrated at their lack of help and support that I am just at a loss as to what to do at this point. They were happy to take the rent money that have have sent monthly for 7 years but now, I am getting no help moving these items that were damaged due to their negligent management.Business response

In December 2022, Anderson, South Carolina experienced record freezing temperatures with widespread effects throughout the city. Unfortunately, one of the fire suppression sprinkler lines at StoreEase Anderson burst as a result of the cold, leading to flooding within one of the climate-controlled buildings.
Upon identification of the issue and during clean up, each tenant was offered a new unit to sort items or to transfer completely. Additionally, tenants were encouraged to submit claims through our tenant protection plan. All tenants affected need to file a claim and go through the process. We are here to assist with any part of that claims process. Those funds can be used to pay movers, etc.
We have someone on-site to help as needed. This just needs to be scheduled through one of our live Virtual Managers. She can do so by coming in the office or giving us a call Monday–Saturday.
