    I had my AC unit repaired late evening/early AM on the 6th. The company who installed our unit does not service 24/7 - Superior does so I called. The worked performed was excellent - no complaints. In fact, I told the service rep I would consider moving my business (semi annual check up's) to SS. However, I needed to make several calls to customer service - to let them know my unit was under warranty and that I should not be charged for parts. Finally, I received an email from the Service Manager after providing information that indeed my warranty was intact and parts were covered but not labor . I verified with ******* Mfg and they indicated the parts were covered for 5 years but the labor only a year - my service was performed during year 4. I received the invoice from Superior and it had 3 line items;1- Service call and wage fee ($148)2- trip charge ($17)3- Parts ($304)I contacted the service manager via email and asked how my $304 would be reimbursed and he replied the parts were only $121 as there was labor for the part and other labor included in that $304 charge. I indicated that the invoice made NO reference to any additional labor charge within the line item and my reimbursement should be $304. I told him it was misleading to bill the item as a part but try to tell a customer there is labor of $183 or 60% of the line item that was something other than parts! The manager said he would call and explain - that was Oct 26th and still no contact. I worked in accounting for 40 years and managed vendors at 13 plants. When work was performed by a service vendor - labor, parts and other items/charges were clearly stated for our review/approval. I am wondering if there is a reason to bury this charge for tax reporting purposes maybe? Don't know - but I have contacted my credit card company as well and am disputing the charge. Poor follow up on several occasions and a misleading invoice have made me unhappy. Mick - ***, **
