Monday, August 5th 2024 I contracted Lighthouse Landscaping and Hardscape to do some yardwork at my house in ******, **. They came prior to the start date to go over and confirm the work I wanted done. On the morning of the 5th they arrived on time and started working. When they said they were finished I went over the areas they were supposed to complete and at that time I saw that they didn't complete all of the work they committed to. This meeting quickly escalated to a hostile discussion with ******* telling me they would not do anything further and I MUST PAY HIM THE FULL AMOUNT DUE. At this time I became afraid of this man because of his hostile attitude. He demanded payment and I went inside and wrote my check for $375 and gave it to him. He then proceeded to use vulgar language toward me calling me obscene names As I look back at this event, I had noticed that ******* acted rather strangely from the time he had arrived. He did not talk to me and agressively started doing the work. It seemed that this attitude proceeded to further disintegrate as he worked on the yard. It was a very hot day and I feel that he may have underestimated his work estimate. But he never spoke to me about the situation until he decided that his work was complete without finishing the work he comitted to. He told me that a reputable contractor would have charged me $1,000 for the work I wanted done. I paid him because I felt threatened. I would not recommend this company again and placed this information on Nextdoor. I also looked at this advertisment on ****** and this company does not have a place to leave a review. There is only a place to leave a positive Testimonal. I am really concerned about the attitute he displayed when demanding full payment, while not completing the work he agreed. to. I really think he could become dangerous.I am looking for a partial refund of my payment to him in the amount of $100.

Good afternoon, We are going to proceed to take this matter to court. She has been slandering our company every chance she gets for no good reason.

We gave **** a quote of $375.00 to trim over 15 trees and bushes- weed flower beds- and install mulch. To which we completed everything in the quote. **** has a copy of the quote and should send it to you for proof of work.
**** came outside upon completion and said it all looked horrible and that she wanted extra work done for free in the back yard (hand pull weeds around entire property fence- create new tree rings- etc.). To which we said no we can only do the work that is in the quote and we already gave you an amazing deal in the hopes of getting our name in her neighborhood.

She says proceeds to argue with me and my partner about our work and how we were only there for 4.5 hours (wasn't a timed job). I said its not up for debate and we expect the payment for the work we completed. She then goes inside for 15 minutes to get us a check and finally comes out and hands it to me and says F*** you! I will write a complaint on every site of yours i can find..

We will not be refunding her anything and will be taking matters to court for slandering a small business. We have over 50 clients all of which love our work and are repeat customers. This is simply a case of someone trying to take advantage of a small business!!
