I had my blouse cleaned and I noticed on November 23rd that it was damaged. The black in my top bled into the cream. I took it back to cleaners on Clemson Rd zip code 29229. The young lady was very understanding and she reached out to the head manager immediately. A few days later someone called me stating that they would clean my top again. On December 9th, I called the cleaners to get an update on my top. Shannon answered the phone and while talking her tone was rude. She had no idea about my top bc she was out on leave for a month. I asked to speak with someone over her because she had no idea what was going on and I didn't like her tone. While talking she HUNG the phone up on me! I called back 5 times and no answer! I got up and went to the cleaners to address her and find out about my top. She wasn't there. A young man was there and he stated that she left when he got there. He asked me what happened and I told him. At this point I'm frustrated because all I want is my top back and to talk to someone. I was given Sunday's number, she's the head manager over the store. I called and texted her. She never responded! Really, no response from Sunday and Shannon's uncouth behavior! This was ridiculous. I went to another Tripp's cleaners to get the owner's number. The lady there declined. She asked my name and when I told her she knew who I was. We talked and when I explained to her that I'm frustrated bc I haven't gotten my top back and Shannon hung up on me. She was shocked that I didn't get my top back because it was ready. This is reason why I'm reporting this business. I left and came back and she was speaking to Sunday the head manager. She asked Sunday if she wanted to speak to me and she declined. Very unprofessional. Then she tells me that they weren't going to do anything about Shannon hanging up on me. There was no reason for Shannon to hang up on me! It's the principle. I called about my top that she knew nothing about and she hung up on me.Business Response

Hello,
I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season.
I have attached the customers history with us as well as our return policy that is printed on the back of our receipts.
This customer used us one time in January 2024 and picked up the order in March 2024. As you can see we noted on the original invoice that the jacket was stained when it as dropped off to us in January. It was marked "stained".
We heard nothing of this until eight months later, when the customer dropped off to us with a complaint of the black bleeding onto the white.
Dye bleeds are attributed to manufacturing because it falls under color fastness. As a curtesy, I worked on it to try to remove the dye bleed but was unsuccessful. Sometimes spotting agents can be used in cases like this but it doesn't always work.
There was a mistake done by the employee the customer dropped it back off to in December. She didn't log it back into the computer as a REDO so when it was returned to the store it was MIA until we preformed an inventory to find where it was hanging.
During this time the manager of that store (Shannon) came back from medical leave. The customer called about the jacket and since it wasn't logged back in as a redo, Shannon tried to ask questions to figure out what was going on.
During that call, Shannon and the employee working with her stated to me that the customer became very belligerent and hostile. Unfortunately, Shannon did hang up on the customer. We don't condone that at all and have spoken to Shannon about other ways to resolve this type on issue.
Shannon said she felt threatened so we decided to send the jacket back to the plant for the customer to pick it up there.
I had Paula, my assistant, and also a manager with our company call the customer to let her know.
That call wasn't returned but the customer did show up at the store Paula works the following week. Paula stated the customer did get a bit loud but she was able to calm her down.
We would have given her back her jacket then but it was hanging at the plant waiting to be picked up by the customer.
I called the customer as well that week but we unfortunately played phone tag for a couple days. I finally spoke to her. I asked her on a recorded line if she was ok to just pick up the jacket from where she originally dropped it off. She said ok.

Saturday, August 31, 2024, 10:32 am I dropped of a Purple, Lavendar Eloquii Solid linen pant and jacket set. I returned on returned on Saturday, September 9, 2024, to pick up and paid $32.13 for the suit up. When I got to my parents' house, I noticed a blue color throughout the pants and on the jacket. I called Bonnie, explained the issued with the garments and to her I was returning it back to her the same day before they close, of which I did. The business committed to providing professional dry-cleaning service. The nature of my dispute is my linen suit was ruined. I've made several calls to Tripp's Fine Cleaners speaking with several employees to include Bonnie, Andrea (Floor Manager), with no success. I don't recall but, Subdee (General Manager) has yet to return my call to bring this matter to a resolution. Anderea (Floor manager), only offered to reimburse my dry-cleaning bill but not to compensate me for the damage done to the suit. As of today, Sunday, September 22, 2024, the suit is still at Tripp's Fine Cleaners. I was supposed to wear this suit to my mother-in-law 90th birthday celebration on Friday, September 20, 2024, of course that did not happen. I asked Andrea for the owners' name and contact information; she stated the owner was deceased and everything was tied up in Probate Court. A male Caucasian representative from the cleaners stated "the cleaners never compensate for the garment they ruin but only reimburse the dry-cleaning fee paid. This course of action does not sit well with me because I'm still without the suit that I dropped off for cleaning services, as I've been customer at this location for over 8 plus years.Initial Complaint

The customers clothes had been in inventory over 120 days. Our tickets clearly state we are not responsible for orders left exceeding a 30 day time frame. We spoke with the customer and explained we would look into it and asked for a copy of receipts verifying what he claims to have paid for the garments. At that time he proceeded to say “it’s more money than you make in a year” and has failed to provide any form of legitimate receipt. Because of this, and his blatant abuse of our staff we have nothing further to add and have closed the file on this claim. Had he cooperated and treated our staff politely we would have been willing to work with him, but due to the circumstances listed previously, we have no inclination to assist him in anyway going forward. The matter is closed as far as we are concerned.
