    On 09/01/2022 i entered into a contract with James S***** (JD) to install sod in my backyard, an irrigation system, a concrete driveway, and a parking pad. JD stated the entire job would take 2 weeks. After giving him a deposit of $4200.00 JD vanished for 4 weeks. after continuous unanswered phone calls I texted him a cease and desist and to return my deposit. JD texted me and came by to talk and gave several family excuses as to why he couldn't start the work. I figured it would be better to try and work with him instead of going to court (big mistake). I gave JD a total of $13,260.00 plz see attached for breakdown. JD took a 2 week job and turned into 2 months of nonsense by showing up and disappearing over and over until he just stopped showing up all together. My driveway & parking pad was dug up and prepped to be installed but never installed. my irrigation system was installed but without the control panel. I had to pay an additional 1,400.00 for another company to come out and correct JD's errors while installing a new control panel which was included in my contract with JD as he failed to do so.

    I came into contact with Palmetto Pro Landscaping/James S***** in early December 2022. He provided me a quote for land grading, tree trimming, tear down and removal of an existing shed, 4 inch concrete pad 20ftx42ft, and water,sewer,electrical conduit tie in. After the site visit we agreed to convert two existing floodlights to electrical outlets and build a retaining wall/drainage system for an additional $1550, water and sewer as well as an outdoor spigot would be added for an additional 600.00, a front retaining wall would be added for $1500, and the other side of yard would be graded and would have a retaining wall built on that side for $1500. I have paid $15,000.00 of the $18750.00 agreed to thus far but the water installation, camera/electrical work, concerete pad, and additional grading/retaining wall have yet to be completed. Mr. S***** has been next to impossible to contact, has missed several dates he has provided and has just about every excuse in the book as to why he has missed the dates he has provided. I want the work completed or a refund for the difference it will cost to get the plumbing, electrical, and concrete work completed by another contractor. Mr. S***** has also ignored several requests and failed to provide invoices/statements of work for the items that were added after the initial visit.

    I had Mr. S***** (palmettopro) come to my home to give me several estimates to upgrade and fix somethings in my home. We agreed to start on my back porch( which is falling off the house) and my front porch which is broken as well. We set a time frame to fix everything, went over materials and he sent me an invoice for the deposit also showing the total cost of the projects. Invoice was sent Jan 29, 2022 I paid $450 on Feb 1, 2022. Couple months pass by and the date he was supposed to come do the work came and gone. Mar 1st I reached out about why my appt wasn’t kept.. I kept reach out when he finally responded with some family issues. I understood and tried setting another date with him. Last communication via text was AUG 15. An on nextdoor communication stopped in Jun 2022. I would like my full deposit returned to me certified check. I no longer want the materials. It’s been almost a year and nothing has been done.
