    Failed to repair our pool. They “repaired” it after the flood and broke our valet system and then claimed they capped the pipes off. Spent several thousand dollars on pool chemicals and Jack Oliver clean our pool filter. This summer it looked like a swamp. Hired another pool company and spent over $12,000 with them to replace the pool pump, pipes, seal off valet system and totally resurface and re-tile the entire pool. Jack oliver still expected us to pay over $500 to them for faulty work. I do not recommend them.

    Unfortunately, this is not the full story. The flood was in 2015. In those 7 years, we have records that you tested your water with us only 8 times. Having a swimming pool requires weekly maintenance and chemical checking by the homeowner or a service provider. That does not appear to be have done by you. We were approached in 2022 about doing maintenance on your pool DE filter. When the filter was taken apart, it was very clear that the filter had not been maintained properly. The grids were broken and the manifold had cracked. This is typically seen when the filter is not backwashed on a monthly basis or when DE is not added after backwashing. During the time we had the system taken apart, when had the breakers for the pool equipment turned off and you proceeded to turn the breakers back on without consultation and ran your pool equipment over not with no water circulating through it. We completed the job and a bill was provided. We received partial payment 6 months later. For the next 6 months, we sent multiple e-mails, text messages and tried calling multiple times to get the bill paid. Never once was any issue brought to our attention. We would have been happy to meet and look at the issues, but again, we were not contacted. You have since provided photos to the BBB and you had a severe green algae problem, more than likely from lack of proper pool maintenance. Unfortunately from the work that the other pool company says was "required" I think you got taken advantage of.
