I renewed my lease with court lane apartment on March 23 2024. I paid rent for March without informing tenant Olivia C*** sold the apartment complex to wolfe and Taylor on April 12 2024 , on April 24 2024 every tenant received a notice to vacate in 30 days. 5 days later I received a email stating I owe 1350 to wolfe and Taylor. They broke my original lease and I never signed a new lease with wolfe and Taylor I don't own $1350 I only owe for the month of April $675. Within 12 days of purchasing the complex they have given 16 families eviction notice to leave within 30 days they haven't offer any help with relocation they are collecting rent and putting people out. When I emailed them that I didn't own $1350 and that I have proof the march payment was made they emailed me basically saying if I don't leave they will put the $1350 fee on my record and a eviction. I have 4 kids that I have to pack up and leave with no where to go or stay. I have to spend countless money on application and hotels in order for my kid sto have a place to stay. The apartments are infested with roaches, mold , and water damage. They have sent me 2 different letters with 2 different amounts owed.

    RE:  ID# ********

    Dear Mr. C*******,

In reference to the above complaint, please see the attached documents:
    -Lease agreement
    -Notice sent
    -Tenant ledger

The Courtlane Apartments was sold in April 2024. The new owner appointed us as managing agents.  The new owner plans to renovate this apartment complex.  To do so, units must be vacated in accordance with LLR law.  We have offered current residents the ability to apply for residency in renovated apartments.

The lease we received from the previous owner ends 03/30/24 and converts to a month to month. We have not been provided a lease renewal dated 03/23/24 referenced in this complaint.  We will certainly honor any renewal if provided.

The resident ledger we provided shows rent owed of $675 for April and $675 for May.

Additionally, we offered to forgive all currently owed rent if the resident is agreeable to vacating early.

Thank you and please let us know if you require additional information.

    RE:  ID# ********

We apologize for our tardy response.  There was a lack of communication within our office.

    Dear Mr. C*******,
In reference to the above complaint, please see the attached documents:
-1st Notice sent to all Tenants in front building 4/23/24
-Notice sent to delinquent tenants 5/2/24
    -Tenant ledger

We gave all tenants, regardless of race, the opportunity to move on a first come first serve basis.
All tenants in the front building received a notice to move out in 30 days.
In addition, all residents with delinquent accounts were sent a notice offering balance forgiveness if they agreed to move out before the initial 30 days.
This resident moved out and her balance is forgiven as stated in the official notice.  (See attached)
