On May 7th, 2022, I had The Sign Gal put racing stripes on my 2021 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack widebody. She did not do a perfect job because she said there was a problem with the Graphics that I purchased. I overlooked it and thought that I would get a hold of the people that I purchased the Graphics from, which I did. In the meantime, my car was sitting in my garage from the day I brought it home from her business. I only drive that car if it's a nice day and on weekends. On May 14th, 2022, I was going to hand wash my car as I always do because although it was in my garage it still had some dust on it and that is when I noticed that there were scratches all around the car, 17 of them to be exact. There wasn't a single scratch on the car prior to taking it to The Sign Gal. First, she said she was sorry and told me that she would take responsibility for any damage that was done by her or anyone else that worked on my car from her business. She also told me she had no insurance for her business. I had the car dropped off at a Chrysler dealership to have the scratches taken care of and later she told me she is not taking any responsibility for the scratches. So, I want everyone to be cautious before doing any business with The Sign Gal because she will not stand behind her work and any mistakes or damage, they do will be your own responsibility to fix. I must have my car painted and repaired at a dealership to restore it the way it was before The Sign Gal scratched it up.

    Business Response

    Date: 06/23/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/25) */ ****** hired me to install a racing stripe vinyl graphics kit that he had purchased online on his Dodge Challenger. I told him I would charge him $350 for the installation and he agreed and brought the vehicle to me on May 7th around 10:30 am. I worked on the installation carefully all day. The racing stripes were pre cut so I didn't have to do any cutting at all except for on the end seams which don't touch the vehicle body at all. When I finished, he and his wife came to pick up the vehicle that same afternoon. They inspected it in broad daylight and even stayed at my office for about 40 minutes discussing me doing ******'s other vehicle (a Chrysler) and they had me take pictures of his wife's car to do some graphics on hers as well. When he paid me with his credit card he even gave me an extra $25 as a tip because he said I did a great job. There were no visible scratches to me anywhere where I was working on the car at all - I am super careful and have been in the sign field for 17 years and have worked on countless vehicles. I didn't hear anything from him until almost a week later when he called me and claimed I was responsible for some scratches on his car. First he said it was a couple then 14 now in this report he's claiming 17. I cannot be liable for damages to a vehicle I didn't do and am accused of an entire week after they left my property. He sent me pictures on Monday May 16th that were very unclear with scratches and then said he had already taken it to a body shop. I have pictures of the finished vehicle I can provide and any additional info you need. Thank you! Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/05/26) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) First, I did not tell her that she did a great job. I pointed out some errors that she made, and She said there were some problems with the Graphics that I gave her. The Tip was because my wife always tips everyone for any service we receive. When I first told her about the scratches, she said that maybe her helper that also worked on my car "maybe something happened" I sent her the pictures of the scratches on the 14th of May she told me she didn't get them, so I resent them on May 16th It's all on my messages on my phone. The scratches are all around the car as if someone leaned on it and that must be the way they scratched it. I Just purchased the car not 2 months prior when she put the Graphics on it. I called here six days later because the car was parked in my Garage all week long and we got some rain on the way home, so the car was wet and that is why I didn't see any scratches on it. Also, the car has a metal flake paint job so it sparkles in the sun which makes it hard to see the scratches in the sun because of the way it sparkles but, in the shade, you can't miss them. I have a $60000 dollar car that she scratched up because of her carelessness. She lied when she said we inspected it because I only noticed the imperfection of the strips, I never would have thought to look for scratches because I thought I was taking my car to a professional. There were no scratches on my car before she touched it. People beware, if you hire The Sign Gal for anything and they mess up or do damage, they will not stand behind their work. So, it can cost you a lot more then you are planning to spend. Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2022/06/01) */ ***Document Attached*** ****** **** has been sending me harassing text messages, writing false statements on my FB account and really taking this situation out of context. I did an installation for him and a week later he called complaining about scratches and keeps editing his claims. He inspected the job during the day and not a single person noticed any scratches anywhere - I always fix anything if it needs to be and hold my self accountable when it's my fault. That's how you keep customers and do good business. I have worked very hard to get where I am in the Sign Filed and I have a lot of long term residual local customers that have worked with me for years. I do not scratch peoples vehicles and I will not be held accountable for something I know I didn't do. I have attached files of the finished installed racing stripes.
