This transaction was on 09/10/2021 for my 2020 taxes, I learned after being audited by the IRS that for the years 2018,2019,2020,2021, and 2022 my taxes were not done, either lack of follow up by the company or because they just were not done. Also, they had their business address listed as my address so I would not receive the letters that the IRS sent to me. I only learned of the audit through now, what I believe was a miscommunicated email that I received regarding the audit then when I tried to retrieve it, it was later taken down. I called them several times spoke with one of the spokespersons which me that my taxes in order to do them would cost me another 1400 dollars to complete the years missed, because I had a sick feeling in my stomach regarding them, I decided to take my services else wear. I spoke with another spokesperson on 07/09/2024 regarding my refund of 406.46 and was told I could not get my money due to them being a non-refund company, I was never rendered any services for five years, because of their negligence I am being forced to pay something that I thought was completed. I also was told that the Chief Executive Officer would call me on 07/10/2024 but never received any call from anyone, which is just a display of how they operate when it comes to integrity and customer services.

Client has overdue balance with JFS, and only paid for one year. There are multiple attempts to contact client regarding payment, as our software will no transmit without acknowledgment of payment.

As for the work done for 2020, there were also additional attempts to contact the client regarding the pin, which we received no response. In attempt to process his return to avoid additional penalties and fees, when completing the efiling form, that gives JFS tjhe authority to act on the clients behalf.

Client was called by me on 7/9, and I told client his contact information would be forwarded to upper management for review, with a callback before the close of the week, not that same day.

Client was quoted $1,400 to file 2018-2022 business AND personal returns. His wife files with us with no issue. J**** Financial is a no refund business, and the work was completed. Additional documents for proof of request for contact can be provided.

I am rejecting this response because: its not true I always delivered my taxes to the tax office upon me delivering my taxes would pay a fee of 25 dollars. To start the filing process,  per the IRS my audit is proof that my taxes were never filed....Not to mention an audit from the State of SC an Audit from that agency too. This is just ridiculous I am asking for a refund due my taxes were never filed and or they never contacted me regarding needing a pin, on 07/09/2024 was the first time anyone ever saud anything regarding a pin when i requested my money. It funny but all other complaints arr basically giving the same kind of scenerios, of the company taking money and not rendering service. Which is a coincidence or either a common practice. I am asking for my refund and our business is done. JFS has not rendered my just do, in processing my taxes.

    Sincerely,
    William D****

When we received payment for the 2020 return, we completed the work, and logged our attempts for point of contact.

Our software will not let us transmit information without payment, which Mrs. H***** gave him a break down via email with no response for all the years that currently have a balance.. During the phone call with the client it was discussed he was aware of the invoice, but went elsewhere to prepare the return without notifying JFS until after having them completed.

Since there was payment for the 2020 return, JFS completed the work, with the efiling option not being used due to the pin.

    Customer response

    07/17/2024

I am rejecting this response because: again they have not been truthful I sent the payment and they have just failed to complete the work. I am requesting my payment back due to no work being completed with my tax information. I had to have another tax professional complete my taxes. They are also requesting payment so why should JT keep money and my taxes were never completed. Please review this and see where I have done my part, they just have failed to uphold theirs.

    Sincerely,
    William D****

6/23/2023 I had an appointment with April H***** to file four years of simple W2's, 2 years dependents were not supported to be on my tax returns. I was told nothing could be submitted until my balance was paid ($250 deposit & $508). 7/2023 I was told my dependents were on all four years. 8/2023 I was told I have no dependents. 9/2023 I spoke with Kadenia Javis daughter and gave her my dependent information again. On 10/13/2023, I went to Javis Tax Service and spoke to Parker who told me I owed $645 and I had no dependents on any tax returns. I showed Parker my invoice with a different amount. I told him I would like my money back so I can go some place else and Kadenia walked in and introduced herself as the owner and said she can fix my returns. I made an appointment with her for Sunday 10/15/2023. Kadenia Javis filed my 2018 & 2020 tax returns electronic. She gave me two envelopes that were alrea** filled out all I had to do was put a stamp on them and mailbox. I alrea** have a tax bill, in February I received a notice from IRS about a document that wasn't included in 2018 & 2020. I spoke to the IRS 3/2024 & was told 2021 tax return was rejected June 28,2023 and 2021 and 2022 has never been received. I've reached out to Javis tax, but was told I have a bill, but how if I paid my total balance on 10/15/2023. The daughter said she needed to speak with her mother Kadenia, but has never gotten back with me. Kadenia Javis on the other hand has only been responding to text messages. She texted me she's been in a dark place for 10 days, her doctor put her on medication, she's depressed and she signed her business over to her daughter while none of that have anything to do with me, I'm still receiving documents in the mail that have to be filled by a tax professional. No one is responding & Kadenia Javis made my tax situation worse. At this point, I just want a full refund so I can pay tax professionals to correct what she did or didn't do.

The client did not favor the fees for our services  from Mrs. H***** and was contacted by Mrs. Javis to review her return. The client only paid for one year of the returns, and was discounted for other services.

For the filings of previous years, the client stated that she mailed the documentation to the IRS; thus the issue of no record does not put Javis Financial at Fault.

Going back to the initial communication from 9/2023, the client was aware that Mrs. Javis was directly unavailable.

The client had been reached out to from our office, but she continued to reach out to Mrs. Javis even when it was stated that she was on FMLA and would have no access to client records for assistance.

A completed info sheet concludes that the client is aware of our no-refund policy.  A scanned info sheet is attached. Once the client completes any information on the info sheet, they accept the policies of JFS. Please note, that via the notes on the top of the info sheet, there is not deposit paid for the client. Additionally, the invoices for the client were cancelled, and I have no record of payment.

I did not favor fees for services from April H***** because all my documents were incorrect. All four years were incorrect. However, Kadenia Javis was paid for all services that Javis Tax provided.

To reiterate, for the filing of the previous year. I was given two envelopes alrea** filled out by Kadenia Javis on Sunday October 15, 2023, with Javis Tax Service 7171 Two Notch Road being the return address. I put postage stamps on both and put both into the blue usps mailbox (Assembly Street) on Sunday, October 15, 2023. Kadenia Javis and Javis Tax is very much at fault. Neither tax return arrived to the IRS until I mailed another copy 5 months later, after speaking with the IRS.

After much researching, I do not expect Javis Tax or the owner Kadenia Javis to give me a refund, to be honest, take responsibility, or to show the 25 years of experience they advertise. Javis Tax or Kadenia javis did not try to fix their mistakes which has cost me more money. Where exactly is accountability in regard to how I've been inconvenienced and treated as a paying customer. There's clearly miscommunication within Javis Tax as a company due to Kristen lacking knowledge about my deposit, payment, amendment, cancelled invoices and any communication between Kadenia Javis and I.

Some of the dates might be off by a few days, but the truth is the truth. All supporting documents, emails and text messages are attached.

Meosha mailed the returns herself after receiving them from our office as she has stated twice previously. Additionally, the filings were alrea** late.

Complete our info sheet acknowledges that the client agrees to our no refund policy.

Mrs. Javis was diagnosed with two medical disorders that has stripped her from performing her duties with JAvis Financial. I attempted to reach out to Meosha on different occasions and to accommodate her to the best of my ability. I can only work with what information is in our system and correspondence via 1040.

The two PayPal invoice were for the deposit, which was cancelled, due to the client submitting payment on 7/6/23 with our staff member Lekesha O**

The other cancelled invoice was for the total cost of services, sent on October 13th, viewed by MH on October 14th and cancelled on October 15th

She states that no one is responding, yet we have proof of correspondence, and due to MH not wanting to work with me during Mrs. Javis's FMLA. Although I'm sure. The issue here is that MH is unwilling to work with other staff members,

I'd like to emphasize that professional collaboration and timely responsibilities are key to our team's success, irrespective of personal preferences or challenges in meeting deadlines

I paid $758.00 & Javis Tax are not being honest. It doesn't matter who I paid at Javis, Javis was paid $758.00 for any work they completed for Meosha. I'll be visiting Javis soon to pick up my 2019 Tax documents that Javis Tax did not file.

This company has filed my tax return incorrectly, as to fraudulently putting info on my returns. Like putting my address as their own, putting their own bank direct deposit info on my return without my knowledge & consent. Also over charging me to file my returns 2 years in a row. Then trying to say I have a balance owed which contradict documents I have. Their customer service is very poor & response to any inquiries are very delayed. It's truly sad as a paying customer & having faith in a company to file my tax return properly that I have to now worry that they aren't. Also I don't want IRS coming after me because of their mishaps.

    Hello!

Ms. ****** had reached out to our company for assistance on filing her 2020 and 2021 tax returns.

The client understood that she was a late filer, but we were happy to assist her with the returns.

Ms. ****** has spoken to four members of our team, including our Data entry specialist- L. Ody, Administrative Coordinator -  K. Javis , Supervisor-A. Harris and CFO - K. Williams- Javis.

On our info sheet, that is required every year, this is our contractual agreement between Javis Financial and the client. (Please see attached).

A completed info sheet serves as our confirmation that the client understands our policies and agrees to our client engagement contract. Ms. ****** did not have the funds to pay for the complete amount of her returns, but we understood the financial circumstances, and spoke with the client about our process when filing returns.

Our software does not transmit without payment. In order to transmit Ms. ****** due to her financial situation, we had to zero out the return, for the software to acknowledge for transmission.

Ms. ****** was made aware that she still owed us the balance of the return, and that we change the address to the office to act as a retainer, should we not be paid. We do not change direct deposit information, and only the address to send payments here, and make it electronic mail, which the client will receive after our fees are paid.

Additionally, we make notes each time we have correspondence with a client, and what actions are taken on the return. (Please see the attached dates for a timeline of interaction with the client).

Ms. ****** was unfortunately delinquent on prior tax obligations, which resulted in her refund being garnished by those state/ federal agencies.

Her refund was garnished, but Javis Financial still had an invoice with the client. We made her aware, and the client then used a copy of the zeroed out return to say that we were not to be  paid.

However, A. Harris, K. Javis and K Williams-Javis repeatedly told the client about why we had to zero out the return, and had prior confirmation that she understood.

Recently, Ms. ****** has claimed that we have not made her aware of the previous information, yet we have email, phone and software records of when we've contacted the client, had to leave a message, or send emails.

We do hope to resolve this matter with Ms. ****** in a timely and proficient manner.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

This business is being very untruthful & deceitful with their details regarding our history.  The only people from this company that has ever contacted me were Kristen(mainly through emails) Sandy(Only left 1 message which i still have) and April Harris which from my understanding is the tax account.  I've NEVER once to my knowledge been contacted my the owner, CEO, or CFO because if I was I would've told them the issuse.  NEVER once was I ever told of if I had balances until I contacted the office on 11/16/2022 inquiring about my taxes. Because I paid my balance with them & as stated they will take what is theirs.  They are trying to use prior taxes owed which I knew about because I setup my own payment plan with the IRS because if I would've taken Ms.Harris advice things with IRS would've really been messed up.  I NEVER signed or agreed to anything saying my address is theirs & I supplied my own account info for direct deposit.  If the comp[any wanted to be paid for something in advance then that should of been stated.  Til this day I still DO NOT have any invoices of the what I paid to this company which I contacted them numerous times for that info & Ms. Harris herself sent email on 11/16/2022 saying will send them to me & NOPE.  Also I have asked for copies of all my tax returns & don't have all them they only send something to my email.  The are NOT good with their customer service or response time to customers.  I have plenty of correspondence through email that contradicts this faulty reply they gave y'all.  This is truly sad & really need to be taken seriously because these people at this company are frauds.  They have their address as theirs & opening my mail & on top of that I'm not receiving mail from IRS because of them.  Translate to this company as well that I want all my mail from the IRS.

    Sincerely,

    ****** ******

    Business response

    12/01/2022

    Hello!

The IRS only funded a portion of the 2021 return due to a 2016 debt and monthly penalties and interest that the IRS added from April 15, 2016 to time of collection that was explained to Ms. ******. We were not able to obtain full payment, therefore your remaining balance for 2021 is $55.14.

In regards to the statement Ms. ****** has with the pricing, not only did we have to file an original return, but we have to file an amendment. These are two separate fees for those services. JFS had to complete an amendment for 2020 due to you filing a nonfliers return for the stimulus, which we didn't get confirmation of until 8/20/21; after the submitted info sheet This is what caused delays in receiving information due to duplicate submissions.

Additionally, other penalties and interest will come from  having a  W2 income to report, therefore you are considered a taxable filer, and the fees associated with IRS debt is added on to the original tax liability. . Please see attached a copy of the IRS screen that shows JFS did in fact complete and submit the amendment on your behalf and according to our records as of current there is no record of payment for that amendment.
