I didn't even have the car a week and it was financed.

    Business Response

    Date: 06/23/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/24) */ This customer came to our dealership with their own mechanic to inspect vehicle. After 2 days of trying to get all of the documents together the customer left the dealership with the vehicle satisfied. They were sold the vehicle as is from our dealership but they were given a warranty through the finance company we used. The customer contacted us several weeks after purchase with unclear complaint about vehicle. All we knew was they had an issue with it. I explained to the customer that they were given a warranty that would help them with any repairs. We aided them on the direction we know for them to go. Its our understanding that the customer had non licensed mechanic to work on vehicle and also appears that they took it to a non traditional mechanic shop for warranty work. We instructed the customer to take vehicle to GMC dealership and customer be came irate. We have had no further communication with customer. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2022/05/31) */ ***Document Attached*** Here is proof that the truck was broke down within 6 days of purchase. He said I brought a mechanic who call my a mechanic. Who happens to be his friend. My kids father took me to get the truck because they are friends. I called on the 6th to let him know that the truck was broke down and he said I have a warranty don't worry about it. I'm covered. The warranty people said they don't cover preexisting problems and that is a preexisting problem. They said take it back to the dealership. When I called they said they don't cover vehicles over 10 years old. He said said I can bring the truck back but he not giving me s*** and he ain't fixing s***. Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2022/06/02) */ The mechanic who checked the vehicle before the purchase is the buyer's relative. Any issues pertaining to the vehicle must be addressed by the warranty company. The warranty was sold to this customer by the finance company. The statement claiming, I used profanity is not true. It is explained to customers that the As-Is Warranty means the customer is agreeing to purchase the vehicle "as-is" and the dealer does not provide any warranty for repairs after the sale. In my conversation with the buyer listed on the contract, the complaint is being generated by a relative in the name of the buyer listed on the contract. In my opinion, the customer is not performing their due diligence to get the car repaired by the warranty company which is who holds the liability. Consumer Response /* (4200, 16, 2022/06/07) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I see this situation isn't going to be resolved threw the BBB I will be filing a complaint with the courts
