On May 21, 2022, Dave L******* agreed to renovate our downstairs area. The work included a bedroom, closet, bathroom and living area. The business was recommended by people down the street, who my wife called friends. We were told David was going through a rough patch in life so we agreed to help. Davey had no money or place to live. We agreed he could live in the downstairs and we would pay for materials. Dave was given my Home Depot credit card and my ex wife's Lowes card and was to provide receipts for all purchases. Davey installed a toilet and shower. On July 6 he was told to leave since he was doing no work and I was kind enough to let him use my vehicle. After Mr. Lazinsky left we discovered he made many unauthorized purchases. When I texted him and asked for our money back, Dave responded " see you in court." He owes us $8000 in money paid and unauthorized purchases. Mr. Luzinski did not provide any receipts.
