I hired John A*********, aka John N*****, Ja No, owner and operator of Jay's Remodeling and Maintenance to remodel our bathroom. He began on November 9,2021. It was to take 3 weeks. After 6 weeks, not only was it only half done, the workmanship was horrendous. We had to have the whole shower removed because he didn't waterproof it. His selling pitch was that it would only cost materials plus labor. He wanted paid weekly. So he drug out the process as long as possible and wasn't near completion. After spending $7767.48 we still had no bathroom and what was there had to be torn out. I found that he uses several names, the address on his facebook page is a private residence and belongs to someone else. He ruined our hot water heater by not turning the water back on burning out the elements. We fired him on December 12, 2021. This man is a con man who plays on your sympathies by telling how wrongly he has been treated by others and that his wife died last year. I found no license for him with the state but have filed a complaint with the Office of Investigations and Enforcement, SC Dept. of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. He targets senior citizens by saying he gives a 10% discount. Our house is still a mess and we have had to hire others to redo his work and complete our remodel. Do not hire this man. He is unqualified. His work is shoddy and he is totally unprofessional. Attaching: complaint filed and some pictures...video available and others pictures can be sent if needed.
