    Good afternoon, Last week, we visited the Wyndham Ocean Ridge Resort in Edisto Island and were more than disappointed in our stay. We were there with a time share VIP who thought she had reserved a King Cotton Villa w/elevator and was offered a two bedroom deluxe. We viewed the villa offered to find that it was second level and this would not work for her due to many steps to manage luggage and maintain her balance. We spent a great deal of time with front desk to be told that if we would stay in a 2 bedroom in a lower level until the next day, there would be a King Cotton room available. Well, guess what, when we called the next day, the opening was only for one night and we were staying six. So, there was nothing else available to us, other than the one we stayed in over night or move back to a room that was not acceptable for the owner to utilize. As we entered the unit on the first night, we could smell moisture, like mildew in the mech. room which is located within the unit w/louvers. There was black mildew or possibly mold in the master shower, ants in a drawer, mildew on the deck, rotten wood on the deck, spider webs on the deck and the entry to the unit. This was reported and a maintenance employee, tried their best to scrub this off. There were two ladies at this time and one of them stated that she would have the room closed for deep cleaning, which did not happen. Day three, I noticed water dripping underneath the unit (unit is on stilts) we were in and other units did not look like that. I reported this immediately and individuals came and fixed a water line leak, left the ceiling underneath the unit open for airing and placed ozone equipment in the unit. There were holes in our bedsheets. HVAC vents in the unit could not be adjusted, thus, blew in your face unless you moved under the cover.My husband got sick immediately, I got sick on Saturday and the time share owner is now sick.Awaiting doctors appts.Totally unacceptable.
