The first vehicle I got from the motor went in the vehicle, tried to get the truck fixed at the **** dealership in ************** and they would not fix it, they told me to get the truck to them and they would get it resolve. They picked the truck up, told me that they can fix the vehicle or advised me to pay another down payment which was $3500. Got the vehicle and only had it for 2.5 months paid one payment that I was going to pay on 02/21 came out on 01/14 then, another one came out on 02/14 but it was only a couple of days, they truck had water damage in the back under the tire. Spoke with them on 02/14 letting them know I was going to pay on Friday forgot about it, heard the horn blow and it was a tow truck company by the name of ****** towing, they got nasty with me and told me that I won't be able to get another vehicle from them and that I have to get my own bank to finance the **** explorer(red) that I had due to them not financing it for me. When they picked it up, they told me that I could've came and get the truck when I made the payment, called them back and they changed everything around. They even begin to get nasty with me especially the Lady name **** and *******. I Feel as though the first vehicle that i got from them they wanted me to pay for the repairs for that vehicle to replace it or to get it fixed. I would like to have my money back over the year and couple of months I've went to them they have ripped me off completely. Unable to get my money back and time. Can you help me resolve this issue please. The cars they are selling have very high mileage on them for a price of $15,000-25,000Business Response

Thank you for reaching out in regards to this matter we have taken the time to review your complaint. In regards to your first vehicle you purchased from us the 2018 **** Escape; it was purchased on January 20th, 2023. Pee Dee Auto Sales offers a 30-day 50/50 motor transmission warranty on our vehicles unless otherwise noted your vehicle did have the 30-day 50/50 motor transmission warranty on it in which if anything happened to the motor or the transmission within 30 days Pee Dee Auto Sales would be responsible for half and you would have been responsible for half of the repairs. You also purchased a 6 month or 6,000-mile extended service contract on the vehicle that covered the motor, transmission, seals and gaskets, air conditioning, drive axles, and the cooling group. Pee Dee Auto Sales will finance the vehicles however we are not responsible for maintaining the vehicles and are only responsible for half of the motor or transmission repairs within the first 30 days of purchase. Unfortunately, when your vehicle had problems, you were out of the
30-day 50/50 Motor or Transmission warranty as well as the extended service contract being that the complaint did not occur until October of 2023. We received a phone call from you on October 4th of 2023 stating that the vehicle had a blown head gasket and was going to be taken to the **** dealership where they said it would cost you over ***** dollars to be repaired because the vehicle needed a new engine and the systems that went along with that since oil and water were mixed throughout. We were asked if there was anything we could do help and even though the vehicle was out of warranty we still tried to help you by getting the repairs done at our cost however it was still expensive and more than what you wanted to spend at the time. We then traded the vehicle for you as that was your cheaper option and the option that you wanted to go with since it was cheaper than replacing the engine and other components in the vehicle. Unfortunately, when you traded the ******************* and purchased the 2016 **** Explorer, we had troubles getting in contact with you and the contract was breached causing Pee Dee Auto Sales not to be able to finance the vehicle any longer. Pee Dee Auto Sales did inform you however that you could secure financing elsewhere which would have allowed for you to retrieve the vehicle. In this case we did everything in our power to help you from the initial vehicle to the arrangements on the second vehicle, all we can do is our part, and we feel we were being more than fair with our offers. Thank you again for allowing us to explain our side.Initial Complaint

I purchased a car for my daughter in August of 2023 and she fail to make payment and the car was repo but I never received the car was not 90 days nor 3 car payment behind, The person who came and repoed the car stated how the company was ****** and they did not follow the rules. I spoke with someone afterwards and the agreement was as long as I made payments they would hold the car as long as payment were made they never gave a specific time frame. I have been paying on this car and every week when it is close to get out they come up with a different story and add more fees and charges, I went today expecting a balance of **** I took $530 and was expecting to bring the remainder next week 02/02/24 was the agreement I had with the employer named ******. I was then told I owed 400 more for repairs but why would I owe for repairs if it was still sitting and was not supposed to be touched because I have still been making payments, they stated they will not put the charges to the back nor will they give me my refund I need help with this situation.Business Response

Thank you for reaching out in regards to this matter we have taken the time to review your complaint. Per South Carolina law the vehicle does not need to be 3 months or 90 days past due for the vehicle to be repossessed. The vehicle can be picked up after the ***Loan Right to Cure as been sent out and that time frame has been met. Without sharing your account information, I can say that the law was followed during the repossession process. In regards to the timeframe once a vehicle has entered repossession status the customer only has 2 weeks to pay on the repossession fee if the vehicle can still secure financing through Pee Dee Auto Sales depending on the breach of contract and once the repo fee is paid the customer must pay at least every two weeks until the vehicle is current and can be redeemed with monthly payments continuously coming due. If one of the promise to pays is missed while in repossession status the vehicle will then be forfeited and restocked due to the promise being broken. All of this is explained once the vehicle initially enters repossession. As for the repairs the vehicle was in the restock process and being prepared for the auction. Once the restock process was started necessary repairs were done to be able to send the vehicle to auction to sell. As of this date the customer still has possession of this vehicle. A mutual agreement was reached with the customer to retain possession as the original contract stated. We feel we met our obligations in this matter. Thank you again for the opportunity to explain our positionInitial Complaint

The date of purchase on the car was June 7,2022. The car that I purchased was a totally different color and car from what I test drive that morning. We gave George D****** at Pee Dee Auto Sales $200 to hold the car until we got back that afternoon with the rest of the deposit which was a total of $1955. When we returned, the car that I purchased had issues from the time I pulled off from the dealership. Due to closing hours, I gave them a called and notify them of the issues I was having with the car. I returned the car the next morning for a couple of days to get the issues resolved and received the car in the same form as I dropped it off so I decided to return the car permanently because they kept denying the issues and told me they were fix when they were not even addressed at all. I feel that I should have my deposit refunded to me or the issues should have been fixed without the extra problems. While sitting there, another woman came in complaining about her vehicle that she hasn't seen her truck that was supposed to be fixed on in a month. This is a terrible place of business and the employees have terrible attitudes towards their customers. The vehicle I purchased was a 2009 Ford Escape that they mentioned was White but the one they gave me was a darker cream color. Even the wrong date on some of the paperwork. I understand with a older model car that it would not be in perfect condition but the issues I had made it very difficult to even get the car home to park it. The cars was switched between the time my father test drive the car that morning until the time I got there with the rest of the deposit. I truly feel that my deposit should be returned to me after all the issues of the car and within the few days of having the wrong truck in my possession. I NEVER drove the truck after purchasing it because of the issues that cause the truck to sit down in my front yard. I hope to get this problem resolved and not have anymore contact with them. Thank you.Business Response

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/07/27) */ Good morning I have discussed this matter with my salesman and service advisor about the complaints ******* ****** has concerns with . They told me she bought the car on 06/07/2022 and then came back on 06/08/2022 with some concerns. We addressed those concerns and she picked it back up. The next thing we know is she came back on 06/13/2022 and left the vehicle. We are always willing to fix any problems our customers have with the cars we sell. Not sure why she just dropped the car off and left. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2022/07/30) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I have discussed why I dropped the car off with "the manager" when he gave me a call on the morning of july 22,2022 at 9:59 am to be exact and once I addressed those concerns, he told me he would give me a call back with more information which he didn't. If his car associate "Doug" would have been there to discuss this matter like he promised in our phone call the previous business day then we wouldn't have this problem now. The employees here are terrible with communications and order of business as I stated before.
