-On September 23, 2023, while en-route from *******, back home to *******, my car experienced engine troubles and was serviced by Christian Brothers, ******** on Sept *****. -Car was serviced and returned to us on 9/26. Service Manager confirmed "100% they solved the issue, and the parts and labor will be warranted, even if it's not brought back here". The bill was $931.36 -The following day, Sept 27, approximately 200 miles into the continuation of the journey, the problem resurfaced. Same symptoms, same warning display on the dashboard.-Spoke with Christian Brothers immediately. The Service Manager said it wouldn't cause any further damage if the car was driven in this 'limp' mode the remainder of the trip. -On 10/1 the car was brought to Automaster in *************. Automaster is the local *** dealer. -On 10/2, ********** confirmed the part Christian Brothers installed was done incorrectly. They corrected the issues and charged us $269.99.-Over the following days, Automaster technicians spoke to Christian Brothers Service staff and explained what they did incorrectly, and offered documentation.-We have requested warranty reimbursement from Christian Brothers, for only the amount the *** dealer charged in order to fix the issue, ($269.99), but they refuse.

Please see the attached correspondence to **************** explaining the business situation.  Also shown on the bottom of the repair order in the original complaint he submitted to you all (highlighted in blue), it clearly states the specifics of our warranty policy as listed on our website with the link and was explained to this individual and his son over the phone prior to taking the car to an unauthorized repair facility. He chose to take it to a non-approved vendor and there for any additional cost he incurred is the sons responsibility and not Christian Brothers Automotive.  Again, this was clearly stated to both individuals over the phone.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 11/14/2023

I am rejecting this response because: Christian Brothers's work was incorrect and incomplete as shown in the attached receipts provided by the dealer. This is a fact and cannot be disputed. CB's response to not reimburse me to correct this, because of some small-print warranty detail, is irrelevant and disingenuous. They cannot continue to charge customers for work that is not done correctly.

    Customer Answer

The car is owned by me, *********************, and I paid the Christian Brothers bill.  My son was driving the car through **, returning from college, when he experienced the engine trouble and took the car to Christian Brothers.
