It was a Lexus vehicle. I helped a friend and the vehicle had an engine light. It had ABS light on everything you can think of if it was on she returned it she told me that she’s not gonna get no vehicle from there and IThere was a vehicle that was purchased and they put me as the primary. It had ABS light on everything you can think of if it was on she returned it she told me that she’s not gonna get no vehicle from there and I told her don’t put my name to anything. and she just told me that one of the salesman said that if she turns this vehicle back in that it will ruin my name and all of this that she can just do a trade-in and put her under her name and come to find out they put me as the primary on the account I’m the owner of the vehicle and that if she gets into an accident, she can kill someone and I did not sign no documents. I did not sign anything for them to get this vehicle up here a newer vehicle I didn’t even send a document. They didn’t even send me nothing. I found this out by an email payment that I didn’t even know this company is a scam.

    Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to review this customers complaint. 

     

    We have refinanced this loan taking *** ******** name off the loan. He was on the title to the Lexus but is not on the title or loan to the new vehicle.

    At this time, *** ****** has been removed from the vehicle entirely.

     

    As for his credit report, our system reports to Equifax on the 1st of every month. *** ****** should see his credit report updated no later than February 1, 2025. Should he have other questions or concerns, he is welcome to call the dealership and ask for Bailey.

    I purchased a 2013 ****** ****** with 105,000 miles on October 28th 2023.Less than 3 months the transmission went and they swapped out the vehicle and gave me a 2004 ****** ***** with 173,000 miles.I haven't even had the car for a week and the radiator has a crack in it.They are saying I must pay $100 to have it fixed as signed in my paperwork.I feel mistreated like they are just a bunch of crooks making money off of hard working individuals like myself.I will never purchase another vehicle from them again nor will I recommend them.I might reconsider if this problem is fixed at no cost.Thank you

    The hundred dollars that Mr. ********* is complaining about is the 100.00 dollar deductible that is required of all customers when there is a warranty covered issue that needs to be resolved. 
    The 100.00 dollars that AVP is requesting of him is a deductible. Family Auto of Fountain Inn has no way to waive that deductible.

    They have our saved debit card on file and we are not set up on recurring at this time it was cancelled months ago.. on 8-2 they drafted our card on file for a payment that was not authorized and did not speak with anyone that day authorize the payment .. my wife checked the bank on 8-3 and noticed the funds came out of the account that we did not authorize. i called the next day and was told they cannot get the refund to go back on the card so advised to keep the funds on the account until i speak with my wife.. she called 8-7 to request a refund and was told we had to dispute with our bank and that they will not grant the refund at this time .

    The complaintant still had the vehicle and was very far behind, He also had the card on file for the recurring. They actually disputed the charge with the bank and was denied their dispute. We wasn't able to retrieve the vehicle for weeks after the charge was disputed.

    We were not on recurring at the time the payment was drafted from our bank account and they stated on a call with them the day the payment posted it was a computer or that an employee went in and drafted a payment without our permission on 8-2 and they would work on getting it refunded back to us but would put the car up for repo and stated we understood and to come get the car our son did not want the car ...

    My brother ******* **** passed away in November 2023. he had purchased a 2006 Toyota Sienna CE VIN ***************** from Family Auto. Buy Here Pay Here place. I missed placed the Title in all the stress I have been dealing with. I have the Personal representative Paper work and I am trying to sell the Van. When I went to the DMV 2/27/2023 to get a replacement Title I was informed there was still a Lein Against the Van from ********* Acceptance with the address of Family Auto, They have verified that the van was paid off 8/2021. The Office Manager Denise will not return my calls to get this rectified. Everyone I speak with on the phone says she will call when she gets around to it. I have someone wanting to buy the van and i can not sell it until Family Auto fixes their error from 8/2021. This Lein should have been removed then.

    They also provided a letter for me to take to the DMV.

    I was in a wreck total on nov 10 I just made an payment on November 4 which is 6 days family auto has the worst workers they talk to you any type of way especially when you spending your money that’s was a problem too me 2nd it wasn’t my fault so the adjuster paid the Lein off so I lost out on my money and my car so they tried to pick a car for me which was an 06 suv my payments on the wreck car was 320 and it’s was an 09 so the 06 payments are 378 which I can’t afford everything was suppose to be left the same I got mess all around I will try and sue them if this not resolve to the point I could of lost my life In they car

    My first car was totaled and insurance paid Family Auto of Simpsonville. We got a new car 1/31/2022 with another $600 deposit. On February 12th my new car had issues. Family Auto sent me to an auto shop that stated it was an engine problem, Family Auto wanted a second opinion and sent me to another Auto Shop in Fountain Inn that said it was not the engine and they "fixed" the issue. Friday, June 10th we noticed the car acting up. Called Family Auto on 6/13/2022 and they came and picked the car up and brought it to **** **** Auto. I called **** **** Auto after not getting any updates from Family Auto and **** **** Auto said my transmission was shot and they do not fix them. I called Family Autos and spoke with Desmond who said they would have the car towed to another auto shop in Spartanburg on 6/20/2022. I called today 6/24/2022 and my car is still sitting at **** **** Auto. It's going on two weeks and nothing is happening. I have not missed a payment nor insurance payment. I can not get anyone to answer me directly. It's still under warranty-2 years or 36, 000miles. I need help to get my ONLY car fixed or get another.

    The issue has not been resolved. We are in limbo. Family Auto states it’s an issue not covered under warranty. I have offered to pay to get the issue resolved to No avail. As far as I know my car is still at *** ******** located in Spartanburg. They are stating it’s a programming issue and not a transmission problem. It has been 30 days and I can not get any answers. I have called Family Auto and asked to speak to a manager or get a call back. I have not received a call or update. I have not missed a payment and no resolution is in sight.
