My family has enjoyed the food and atmosphere in the past and we planned to eat there this evening. We know from past experience, you have to be there early so we arrived at 3:45 pm and waited outside for the door to open at 4 pm. The restaurant filled quickly but our waitress got our order and we watched her plug it into the tablet. We had ordered an appetizer, my dad got a bottle of beer and my mom got a sweet tea. The waitress said they were still making the tea and it would be a few minutes, no big deal right? It took 15 min, meanwhile my dad never got his bottle of beer! It took another 15 min for him to get that! It’s 4:30 now and I’m not exaggerating, making it up or trying to complain but EVERY other table had gotten their appetizers AND their food, while WE hadn’t even gotten the appetizer yet!! We sat there for a few more minutes while people that came in AFTER us continued to get their meals! We all talked and decided to just leave and go somewhere else and just pay for the drinks 2 side salads that did come out. By this time, it was 4:45! We all got up to leave and the appetizer was coming to the table, we said just to take it back. I ended up talking to the manager, Thomas and he said that the smaller orders were prepared first because there orders were entered first. That was a lie! Our order was entered and people that came in AFTER us got their food promptly! I wasn’t satisfied with that explanation and asked to see the owner. I was told the owner was cooking and could not, would not come out to talk. Reality the only thing he was cooking was OUR meals because EVERYONE else had their food! To say I was frustrated, is an understatement! Especially after a couple sodas, sweet tea, a bottle of beer and 2 side salads came to $36! To get some lame excuse like that from the manager is sad and the fact that the owner had a table full of people walk out because of poor service and wouldn’t even come out to talk about it is horrible!
