      I am an elderly disabled person. 98Ventures handles the claims for *** ****** who provides delivery services for *****. Company has lowballed the amount they will pay for replacement of my building that was damaged by the *** delivery driver. Company does not respond to multiple requests via emails to resolve the claim. *** Select received the claim on 4/30/2024. Company also does not respond to phone calls.

      Date of service -05/28/2024 Store- ***** **** ********** Sectional for Living room Upon delivery of my furniture, the delivery guys had difficulty installing the furniture through my front door. At no time did they try to improvise and ensure that no damage would be done to my furniture or house dwellings. As a result, they forced the furniture into my house at which point damaged my hard wood floors and broke the awing over my front door! Ultimately, I had to return the furniture which incurred out of pocket expenses! I have reached out to the claims department via emails, phone calls and voicemails, to no avail no one has responded! I have since learned that my claim has been denied, based on erroneous information obtained from the workers! I am simply looking for compensation due to damages not of my own!

      That is due to that they placed the legs on the sectional once they were inside  the house ,  they started to move the sectional back and forth sliding them on my floor  that’s how the damage got on that side of the floor . Also they hit my awning very hard which it shifted off balance. which that day we told them if they were going to fix it and they never responded.

      They have no standards of practice in their investigation. Their judgment is completely leaned towards the customer. There is no protection or doubt for the contracting team even when the evidence presented allows this. I am a furniture delivery team that does delivery for a big name furniture store. When we do deliveries, owners of the home are allowed to make a claim that their house was damaged in the process. 98ventures claim it is a fair process, but in the most recent claim they did not allow me to speak to their manager nor gave me the email. Instead they just said no and charged me anyway. I don't believe this is fair business practice. This is not the first time nor the last time it will happen until they are reported because they have such ease of unfair judgment.

      No, there was no need to remove anything from the door.

      Their assessment is that while they were walking through the door they had to bump into the door frame when entering. But that makes no sense, the table comes in a flat cardboard box. The cracked frame is inside cover by the outside frame.

      ***** sent 3rd party installers hired by 98 Ventures, UST. Delivered and installed a fridge. Left. The water valve on. Ruined my floors. Told me to begin mitigation. I did. Now walking on concrete snd its unsafe. 98 ventures said they had all they needed for review. This was 7/11/23. Now on 8/13/23 : 98 Ventures says their installer First Class installers is i insured by ********** *********. ********** ********* says first class installers cancelled their insurance in May 23. **** ***** claims ************ s********** ************** ***. Is my contact. She us not responding to voicemails or emails. I want them to repair the floor and pay fpr the mitigating that was done Pictures and videos attached. Thank you for any help. Lisa said First class Installers was now responsible but they have no insurance. Lisa nor 98 ventures answers emails or voicemails.

      I bougth a refridagrator from ***** in ********* NC and It was delivered June 26th, 2023 to my home by 98 Ventures by 2 black men. When they arrived with the delivery that had major difficulty trying to bring the fridge in because they didn't have proper tools to take off the fridge handles, screen door, etc . . . I even got my tools out to try and help them out but mine didn't work. Eventually, they managed to get the fridge in after getting the screen door and fridge handles o."ff. Once inside, they had to pass by my ** fridge I had sitting on their left. Again they were struggling to manuverby my fridge into the kitchen with the new one . Once in the kitchen, the fridge was too big and didn't fit. So I told them they would have to take it back, which they didn't seem to happy about. They loaded the fridge back up and was taking it out, again having to pass by my fridge. They were struggling while pushing it back and forth and not communicating very well with each other. They were very close to my fridge, manuvering back and forth trying to pass the new fridge through to get out the door. Once they were out the door, I noticed the dent they had put on my fridge. I told the one guy whom seemed to be in charge, "Hey, you guys dented my fridge". He just turned and looked at me and kept pushing the fridge out. I watched them load the fridge on the truck, thinking they were going to come back and apoligize and tell me what my next steps were. However, they jumped into their truck and took off. Since it was late in the afternoon/evening, I went to ***** the next day and spoke with Miss L*** who gave me instructions and an email address to file a claim. And I did. I wrote a statement as to what happened took pictures of my fridge, serial numbers, make and model, etc . . . and sent all that to claims. July passed and no answer. I went to ***** spoke miss L*** again who sent a follow up email and eventualy I got an email from Lisa E**** stating my claim was denied. "Unbelievable". I spoke with miss L*** again at ***** and she sent another follow up email. I've called Lisa E**** in claims department and have left 4 voice messages and two emails and still she refuses to speak with me and give me upper management info. I have never in my lifetime witnessed such aweful, sloppy and bad Customer service ever.

      I don’t except the response bc I have have been consistent with the evidence and facts of this delivery and damage to my property and reported it right away. Not to mention the months passed and the fact that no one would even respond until I got the BBB involved. I wouldn’t waste my time being dishonest trying to get something that wasn’t rightfully owed due to your negligence. This is a matter of integrity and making things right. As a company, you have a fiduciary responsibility to those you serve. Thank you.

      As mentioned previously we now have new information from you we did not currently have, and it is being reviewed. 

      Just like any claim that come in for any reason, all points need to be reviewed. As a third party to all involved, our duty is to review all information given to us to make a decision. The duty does not lie in favor of who the customer is, or who the delivery team is. But in all information provided. Just like you, the delivery team has the option to dispute a claim and we have to take that into consideration.

      Once again, no payment is guaranteed because we still need to review it. However, you will hear something this week from the specialist working the ticket.

      American Signature/Value City Furniture Notes: ? We purchased furniture through American Signature in May 2023 ? The furniture was delivered my Value City Furniture soon thereafter ? When the furniture arrived, it arrived in 3 pieces; 2 pieces were carried into the living room of my apartment and the 3rd (middle) piece was brought into my apartment in the box, which was scooted across my entire floor. ? The major scratches that run about 30 feet from the door to the wall, are the exact width of the box that piece of furniture was in. The box had staples at the bottom. ? I immediately contacted the delivery company, right after the delivery guys left. I have been dealing with the company ever since. ? I had the company that handles all flooring in my apartment complex come in and give me a quote; the quote was $3500, which is to replace the entire floor. ? Value city Furniture only wants to cut me a check in the amount of $1735.75, which doesn’t cover the amount of money it is going to cost to replace the entire floor when I have to move out of this apartment. ? Value City has told me told us that “they acknowledge that the damage reported is from door to the wall, however, with the option to repair, we must move forward and provide a resolution to repair the damage that the delivery team caused. ? The offer is insufficient as it is going to cost me twice that amount to repair the flooring for a new person to move into when we move out. ? I understand that they only damaged a certain area of the flooring, but it has ruined the entire flooring because you can’t just replace planks of linoleum on the floor and not match the rest of the floor.

      98 Ventures handles claims for ** Appliance that delivered an appliance to a neighboring business of ours. The delivery truck crashed into our tree, resulting in damage to their truck, and a large canopy providing branch becoming detached from the tree and falling to the ground, and associated damage to the tree trunk as well. This has caused significant negative impact to our property appearance and value. We have been trying to resolve a claim with 98 Ventures since July. In the middle of the claims process the employee left the company and nobody took over the file. We have attempted on multiple occasions to resume discussions with 98 Ventures, but the company does not respond to emails, and attempts at phone calls go straight to voicemail with no return call.

      The claims specialist investigating the claim has been in communication with the claimant.  The Legal Department has also reached out to the claimant. As part of the investigation, UST Select has requested that the claimant provide estimates of the alleged damage. Mr. ****** has not provided any estimates to date. In an attempt to settle the matter, an offer was made in the amount of $325 on July 28, 2022. However, Mr. ****** has declined the settlement offer.
