Upon review and investigation of the complaint made by the consumer, Community Credit acknowledges it has a customer at the Orangeburg SC location by the same name of the complainant. However, the information provided by the complainant (address & phone number) does not match. Community Credit respectfully requests further verification of complainant in order to accurately address the complaint. As of the date of this response, Community Credit has not received in writing a request by any customer with the above listed name of a "No Contact" being sent via "certified mail return receipt requested" as required by law.

I called Community Crediton July 24,2023 at 3:09pm, regarding my past due account. I spoke with Scott and informed him that I would be in there two weeks from Friday to pay the account off. I was out of town due to death in my fiance' family. Per Scott, I needed to make the payment by August 1, 2023. Again I told him when I could get there. I also told Scott to let that serve as my notice so they do not need to come to my house or call. An hour and three minutes later, Barry from Community Credit went to my house and the person who was house sitting for us while out of town answered the door. After they were already told not to come to my house. This is harassment. Not only did they do this, Barry, called me from a non-business number listed under ****** ******* on July 28, 2023 at 3:19pm. He stated, I needed to com make my payment again after I have told Scott when I could come in. This is also harassment and not professional at all. I would like for you all to get this resolved before I have my attorney involved. All this harassment over $148.

Upon review and investigation of the complaint made by the consumer, Community Credit vehemently denies any claim of harassment as all protocols were followed and adhered to as per all contractual obligations and expectations as signed by the consumer. However, in good faith, Community Credit will accept this complaint as a request of "No Contact" in lieu of one being sent via "certified mail return receipt requested" as required by law. In addition, Community Credit will adjust the consumers account to reflect paid in full.

I received this letter from the company. But as noted in the companies reply to the BBB, they will mark the account as paid in full. I will accept the company response as long they will send a letter via mail stating this same information with a signature from Barry or Scott.

The letter attached ("Right to Cure") in the previous correspondence from the complainant was issued (8/1/23) prior to the response sent (8/8/23) from Corporate Management. In addition, attached you will find a copy of the receipt showing an "Ending Balance" of $0.00 processed by Corporate Management and has been mailed to the complainant as stated in the previous response.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. As noted in the previous response they agreed to close the account as paid in full. I requested that they mail me a letter stating the previous response.

      Regards,

I accept offer of the account paid in full. I misread the previous message. I didn’t mean to put that I don’t accept the offer.
