Total scam. It looked legit though. I was offered a deal to settle a collection at a lower rate. I got voicemail from them with a link. Everything was on there. I made the payment. Got a letter back, but I didn't pay attention to the letter. A couple of weeks later, I went back to my account profile on their website and it showed I had a different balance to pay on the same account. I tried calling. No answer. So I finally looked at the email and pdf attached. That's when I knew it was a scam. It was too late. Now, the website is gone and the numbers don't work.

This company obliviously is a scam. I have perfect credit. For over 4 months this "company" has been calling me from a multitude of different numbers. Some you actually get what appears to be the "company" phone tree, but others reaching nothing. They encourage you to go to a site RCAPAY.COM to just handle it and "do the right thing." Which, since this is most likely a scam, i find fairly funny. In the 4+ months this has been going on I have never taken a hit to my credit nor been sent any sort of documentation to support their claim as either an actual debt collection company or that I have anything in collections. I am writing this in hopes that this might help others as at first blush it does almost seem credible. On the bright side I actually get a good giggle every time I get a voicemail from them. My favorite is the guy who is pretty good about sounding exhausted that he is making all these calls but is truly on my side in wanting to help me resolve this issue and (makes me giggle) do the right thing. Does it so well I think he should do voiceover work so he is doing something honest. Recently they added a female to the mix which was a nice change of pace. They even wrap up with the pièce de résistance comment about by law they have to advise this communication is an attempt to collect a debt from a collection agency. Hope this helps.
