I just purchased the car three months ago. There shouldn’t be this amount of money to come out someone’s pockets at all. They knew this car was bad and shouldn’t sale anything like this. This isn’t something I every thought BMW would doInitial Complaint

In March 2023, I purchased a 2023 BMW X3 form Century BMW and added an extended maintenance program called the "BMW Scheduled Maintenance Program Upgrade" for $2249. My car was totaled in April 2023 and deemed a total loss by my insurance company. At the time of accident my car had approx 1026 miles and was about 30 days from purchase date. At the instruction of of my salesman, I filed a cancellation request with their parent company, ***** **********. The request was denied by ***** ********** due to the "agreement provision in the state of SC". I believe the contract has been misread and I'm entitled to a refund of $2249. Century BMW and ***** ********** tell me they don't make the decision on these claims but yet can not tell me who to talk to about this. They told me to file a consumer complaint with the SC Dept of Insurance. Like what? My insurance company has nothing to do with this. The contract agreement I've uploaded states on pg 2 (and I paraphrase); "a refund will be granted ONLY if the enrolled is deemed at total loss, and no services have been provided and the car age is less than 36 months old and has less than 36,000 miles". It goes on to say if you live in different states there additional ways to obtain a refund. In South Carolina you can get a refund if you cancel the policy within 60 days of purchase. This is and ADDITIONAL state specific provision for people that want to cancel because the changed their minds. But when you have a total loss, you are entitled to a refund as long as you meet the aforementioned criteria for total loss. If you have a total loss, it does not matter what state you live in. If you DO NOT have a total loss then you go to the list of states to see what the specific requirements are for that state for refund but I had a total loss and that trumps all state rules.Initial Complaint

I purchased a maintenance package plan along with car purchase. I sold the car and applied for cancellation of maintenance package. I communicated this to finance manager at dealership on 11th April, 2023. It was resolved s saying I will get a refund and checked will be mailed. From that day onwards email communications go back and forth but never received my check in mailbox. Last communication was on 10th May but no response to that email. Person in contact was Jonah F*****, finance manager at this dealership.Business Response

Apologies for this taking so long. Product refunds are handled by our home office so it took some time to research. Mr. ********** check was originally issued for the incorrect amount and was also issued to his lienholder by mistake, as he had already paid off the loan. This has now been resolved and a corrected check for $970.34 was issued this morning directly to the customer at his home address on ********* Court. Please feel free to contact me directly if you do not receive it by late next week.Customer Answer

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
I want to know when the check got posted? I haven't received a check with that amount. I will wait to close the case until I receive the check. They have been avoiding all these months to send a check and I don't want to take another chance for that.

Purchased maintenance warranty $1749.00 was told it started from purchased date 9/04/20 it's for oil changes etc. I kept asking for a copy stating that in writing cause I knew the other warranty purchased was retro total warranty paid $5,448.00 so I wrote on a sticky that i stuck on the paperwork,The salesman Justin P***** said yes of course this was to be for 60 months or 75k miles whichever came first, we put in wifes name only so I waited in the car and got home and NO INFO about this warranty or what he had stated in the envelope just my sticky note, so I called and called and never received the copy of warranty info period and he said he mailed it. so 30 months to the day I call for another oil change appt and was told it expired 30 months to go. NOBODY IN THERE RIGHT MIND WOULD PURCHASE THIS TYPE OF WARRANTY KNOWING IT WAS RETRO to the manufacturing date or whatever. Tried to resolve it and all I encountered was absolute rudeness and the salesman would not return any of my callsInitial Complaint

I purchased a brand new vehicle from this dealership on june 22nd 2002, my spouse had been driving the car for a month prior to me driving it. I drove it for the second time on jul 21st 2022, and realized there was a vibration at 73 mph. I took the car back to the dealership the 1st week of august 2022. The dealership service manager acknowledged there was a vibration! They first replaced a tire, that didn’t fix the issue. In September They then replaced the driveshaft, that didn’t fix it. In October they replaced the rear hubs, and this didn’t fix the problem! The dealership contacted me and said they were done trying to diagnose the problem, and to come pick out a new vehicle. I purchased a 2022 bmw 430i and that’s what I want, not what they are offering. I spoke with bmw usa and they told me that the dealership say the vehicle is operating normally, if thats the case why were components replaced?!?! Im not trying to get over, nor a refund, I want my vehicle fixed properly!! I contacted the dealership a few weeks ago with a couple possible solutions, but it seemed as if they weren’t listening. The dealership has had my car for four months with no resolution, any help would be greatly appreciated.Initial Complaint

I purchased a certified preowned X5 from the dealership in March 2020. At the time I was told it was owned by a rental company and that it was a certified preowned through BMW. When I went to sell it yesterday after the X5 left me on the side of the road for the third time due to a drive train issue I was told the car had many previous owners and was wrecked. The wreck was never disclosed to me, or the multiple previous owners. The was was just four years old at the time with 38,000 miles. I thought purchasing a certified preowned BMW through BMW would protect me from these kinds of issues, but obviously not. Knowing about the multiple prior owners and wreck would have been major red flags that would have changed my decision to purchase the car. After the most recent service issue, the car sat at the dealership for two weeks while they attempted to diagnose the issue and were unable to through their usual diagnostic process. They had to open a Soros file with corporate and then gave the proposed repairs less than a 50/50 chance to fix the issues. The sensor they wanted to replace only addressed the check engine light, which came back on two hours after picking up my car from repairs, not the drive train malfunction. Ultimately they replaced the fly wheel, which may or may not have been the actual cause of the drive train issue. Corporate refused to answer my questions about this file or provide any assistance at all, citing age and mileage put the vehicle outside of their purview and pawned it back onto the dealership. Chad, the general manager, worked to help with those particular repair costs, but again I would not have purchased the car to begin with if the truth of its history had been disclosed.Initial Complaint

We purchased my daughter's first used vehicle from Century BMW. On the 28th day we had it, the vehicle blew a head gasket. I asked Century BMW if I could see a report of the inspection done on the vehicle prior to sale to us and he reports they do not have a written report. They do not have a mechanic who can work on Nissans and they were not willing to share the cost of having the vehicle repaired at a shop who could repair a Nissan. The only thing they offered was to buy the vehicle back from me for the price they would get at auction, which was a $5000 loss for me
