Ann G****** had my Golden Retriever puppy for a 4 week immersion program. During that time she was suppose to contact me every Friday with updates/pictures/videos. This did not happen for the first 3 weeks. I had to contact her and all she said was he was flying through his lessons. At pick up on 10/4 she spent 45 minutes showing me how to walk him, make him place and sit. She said she would send a link later when I got home with instructions for the next 2 weeks and how to schedule his next session. When I arrived home I could not take off the collar she had on him. It was a prong collar and I had never seen one. I tried contacting her and she never responded. Later she did send the link and asked when I wanted to schedule the next session. On 10/6 & 10/8 I sent emails with training questions with no response. I sent a text on 10/19 and she said she was on vacation with bad service and she would check my emails when she got back later that week. on 10/15 I emailed asking if she read my emails and when we could schedule the next session. 10/16 resent email. She responded she was on vacation and had shut off her phone and didn't read her emails. Said I could come for my next session 11/27,11/29,12/4. She had nothing sooner. She has never sent me the training videos of my dog doing the commands. I work with him every day and he still pulls on the leash when walking, barks and jumps on people, counter surfs, and does not stay/place like he should. These are all things she assured me she would fix. She has not returned my latest emails asking for training help and an earlier appointment than 12/4 at 4:00 pm. Training is outside in a park and it will be getting dark by then. I have a timeline of what happened since our drop off on 9/5/21. We paid $3,275 for services that didn't happen. Her website lists what she guarantees and those things did not happen and she has not responded to me. She has walked off with my money and I have no recourse.

I had a bad experience with Great Paws. After a four week session I got a half hour demonstration of the dogs progress. When my dog hesitated to do a DOWN command, the instructor said to step on the leash and pull the dog down! After four weeks I would have expected this very basic command would be in muscle memory! When I got the dog home, I went to remove the prong collar and was SHOCKED to discover the collar was so tight, I had to use a tool to bend the prongs away to remove the collar. I have used a prong collar in the past, but it only tightened when pulled. I consider this animal cruelty and never called back for ongoing training. I spent a couple of thousand dollars and SHOULD have taken her to small claims court. Use Great Paws at your own and your dogs risk!
