In January 2022 ***** did not renew our FSMA contract for our copier and referred us to Morris Business Solutions. Our ***** copier required service, and on 1/31/2022 after several calls and a requirement of a $79 minimum trip fee plus a signed Time and Materials contract, Morris dispatched a service technician. The Morris service technician came and stayed about 15 minutes. He was unable to fix the copier and said he would call us back about the price and installation of a needed part. No call ever came. Two weeks after the technician was present, a Morris sales person called and promised to get us a quote to fix the machine which never happened. The bill # ****** arrived and the time charge was $208.34 plus an unspecified "other charge" of $15. I sent e-mails and made calls to Rachel, JC, and Jessica asking for a justification of the $203.34 and the $15 since no part was ordered and the technician was on site for 15 minutes . I was told that JC would have to adjust the invoice (which did not happen). Later, I was told the invoice could not be adjusted per Jessica; and finally I was told that the invoice was correct. Sharon T********* threatened Asset Protection Network with a collection activity if the bill was not paid in full. A check deducting and paying the correct amount as quoted ($79.00) minus the "other charge" and interest was rendered to Morris in an effort to close the matter. It is my belief that Morris is in possession of a good funds check for the actual amount due which is $79.00 since the technician was on our premises for 15 minutes and no quote or parts were obtained for the ***** machine. Morris is now demanding $150 plus the "other" $15 charge plus $9.27 in interest!Business response

Customer was aware of our service rates and signed the attached agreement prior to being serviced. No one at our organization would have quoted $79 as that is not our standard rate. We have a tracking software that confirmed our technician was there for an hour. We have the technician notes that can be submitted if needed. The charge labeled as "other" is listed on the agreement the customer signed, it was for a cleaning kit.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and I have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. Morris Business Solutions continues to demand payment for services that are not accurately represented. Their technician was only on site for approximately 15 minutes, including a bathroom break. During the technician's time at my business, he jammed the machine 2 or 3 times, removed the back cover and diagnosed that the drive gear needed replacing. No materials were used in this inspection. He promised to call back with a cost on the part and estimated time to repair the machine. This call back has never happened. My issue was raised with Morris Business service. The latest person at Morris Business fails to acknowledge that they have been in receipt for several weeks of our check which reflects their telephone quote for the inspection, mileage, and taxes. They appear to have a business practice of billing whatever they think they can get away with - padding for false parts usage and time - and expecting the client to pay by threatening collection activity. This is a reprehensible practice. We have an excellent payment record for just and accurate billing.

We understand the customers frustrations however he did sign an agreement prior to service which we have attached. We have also attached the service history which verifies how long our technician was at the customer location as well as the customer notes which has the complete call history of the interactions with the customer. We do not deviate from our pricing schedule and we still stand firm with our previous reply. Attached are all of the documents mentioned regarding this customer.Customer response

The time sheet submitted by Morris is falsified by a Morris person. As stated before, their technician was only on site for 15 minutes at the most. He did nothing more than verify our service statement that the machine was jamming. He did so by jamming the ***** three times, diagnosed that the main drive was failing and promised to get me a quote on the parts to repair our ***** 8700. By the way, I am a former ***** top team leader in a geo combo territory which involved working with both service and sales.
