      I began my adventure with America’s Home Place in Anderson SC at the end of 2021. AHP broke ground January 19, 2022. When their contractors started building, I began to notice a lot of cut corners. I emailed different people to insure things would get done properly. AHP stands on the world QUALITY but does or has not delivered that. I have found many issues during the build that concerned me and could cause later issues. Most of the issues were addressed properly . We are still working on others that concern me. One has been the tub that they damaged during the build. The only thing they did to protect the tub was put a piece of thin plastic over it. They continue to “try” to repair the tub but always end up making the situation worse. We are now finished with the third attempt to repair but still not quality. I have insisted they replace the tub but they won’t. This continuation of attempts to repair is costing me. I can’t convert my loan due to them not completing “quality” work. I have even went to the manager but he too doesn’t care that their negligence is costing me. Matter fact they sent me a threatening email of penalties because I would not approve the second attempt to repair the tub so they could get their final payment. The job is not complete. Now that we have been in the holding pattern to waiting on their “ repair” guy, my water has began to smell like sulfur. I’m concerned now that stagnant water is growing bacteria and will ruin my water heater. Other repairs they have tried to repair have caused a huge delay in completing construction. Sheet rock is not smooth from a” repair”, busted sheet rock that was attempted to repair, still busted open etc Big messy items like these that will result in repair years from now, while I try to live in the house. My suggestion was to tear it out and start over but because they take so long to get things repaired I am forced to accept their repair. This is not quality and I’m sure their CEO would not approve!

      Please make them finish the job or have them replace the tub. I truly am lost at what needs to be done at this point and need you guys to maybe just suggest replacing tub since it was their issue. I think it will also have more eyes look at this office so they don’t give other customers the run around. I feel they are dragging things out so I just give up.

      I just wanted to give you an update. I am beyond words on how exhausting it has been to work with America’s Home Place of Anderson. I did meet with the builder today to look at “repairs”. I’m going to assume you guys got them to fix the ceiling in the laundry room, if so thanks! The tub however was still not complete. I can’t deal with them anymore. I told them we could look at compensation because it’s obvious they do not have the ability to repair the tub after 3 attempts. During this process of repair they also got red clay in my carpet. Every time I ask for a repair something else occurs. I refused to sign off on the tub and told them I don’t want them back in my home. I’m not sure what happens to my claim but I really can’t  bare to deal with them. They do not deserve A+ rating from you guys and I truly thank you for your help. I feel pushing me to exhaustion is what they wanted so they could get their final bank draw. Well it worked.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. 

      I told America’s Home place that they obviously could not fix the tub after 3 attempts. Before the third attempt I told them to replace the tub. So when I got there yesterday to realize it was still damaged, I requested compensation for a refurbished tub since I paid for a new tub. So their response to all things are complete is false.  No one has contacted me for compensation. I did pay them the final draw because I have things being delivered next week which would postpone longer. That’s why I say I was pushed into accepting.
