About This Business
Founded in 1988, The Vacation Company is a short-term vacation rental and property management firm. We manage over 300 quality villas and custom homes located in the resort areas of Hilton Head Island including Sea Pines, Forest Beach, Palmetto Dunes, and Harbour Town.
Bob Hawkins and Beth Henzler are long-time Hilton Head Island residents who head a staff of twenty reservationists, property managers, IT specialists, and marketing personnel dedicated to revenue generation and property care.
We have a management team for each area of the island, which consists of an internal and external property manager. They work together to ensure owners and guests receive the highest quality of service. Completing minor repairs, scheduling vendors, inspecting properties, managing marketing, tracking bookings, and providing quality customer service are just a few ways they help to generate revenue for each property.
Technological innovations allow for immediate communication between property managers and owners. Property managers utilize these advances to provide the highest level of service to our owners, our guests, and our properties.

- Refund and Exchange Policy
CANCELLATION: Cancellation of reservations less than 90 days prior to arrival date for homes or 60 days prior to arrival date for villas will result in the loss of all payments. If you are outside of the 90 or 60 day period, your deposit will be refunded minus the reservation fee. No refunds for early departures or no-shows.
TRAVEL INSURANCE INFORMATION: The Vacation Company provides travel insurance through Red Sky Travel Insurance. Vacations are supposed to be fun, but sometimes the unexpected happens and trouble finds you. Your vacation becomes a nightmare for reasons you cannot control. Maybe you’re met with a situation where you can’t leave home or you need to leave early for a myriad of reasons. When that happens, you’re left asking yourself, “Now what?” Trip Preserver vacation rental insurance is your answer. Trip Preserver will reimburse you 100 percent for your nonrefundable out-of-pocket costs like rental deposits and airfare if your vacation is delayed or canceled for any covered reason.
