We have attempted to correct this wrong with Movement Mortgage Our mortgage payment was suddenly raised over $100 without being notified and the math simply does not add up A movement mortgage representative last Thursday agreed the math does not add up and said she was ordering a review of our escrow and someone would be back in touch. Shady mortgage companies and their shady transactions are why families lose their homes Below is the math and message to Movement Mortgage Our mortgage We dispute for multiple reasons our payment suddenly and unknowingly to us being raised $100. The math. Does not math.Closing 4/24/2024 We paid $****** to escrow at closing. We paid $202.71 per month toward escrow x 12 + ****** = $3,040.72 ******************** 2024 $1142.74 ******************** 2025 $1367.52 County tax $138 Property tax $708 Mortgage insurance $49 x 12 $588 At most we should be negative is approximately $873.54 Your math isnt mathing. This is cheating your customer/first time homebuyers. This is horrible We also paid $1562.88 at closing to cover our homeowners insurance The agent that help **** the mortgage officer with finding insurance changed our insurance right after close and had a check sent - we had absolutely no idea - I have her emails plus receipt of everything we paid - this is all shady and underhanded Your agent agreed the math just does not add up. Movement Mortgage, LLC (Movement) is in receipt of the above-referenced complaint that was filed with the Better Business Bureau. Movements records indicate that the consumers loan originated on or about April *******, with an escrow account established for the payment of property taxes and homeowners insurance (HOI). At closing, the consumers provided proof of HOI with ****************************** (Grange) and the premium was paid on or about April 27, 2024, from funds collected at closing. On or about May 9, 2024,a cancellation notice was received from Grange, as per the consumers request. The consumers account was appropriately updated with the consumers new policy from *********** and that premium was appropriately paid from escrow, on or about June 12, 2024. Upon information and belief, following the Grange policys cancellation, a refund check was issued and mailed to the consumers; however, the consumers did not deposit same back into their escrow account. Given the extra, unplanned payment for two (2) HOI policies along with a slight increase in property taxes, an escrow account analysis revealed an escrow shortage, which was automatically spread over a period of twelve (12) months. A slight increase in the consumers monthly payment resulted, about which the consumers were promptly and appropriately notified through an escrow account disclosure statement. Given the foregoing, Movement asserts that the shortage and resulting payment increase are valid and therefore considers this matter closed.

I am rejecting this response because:

you are flat out lying - PROPERTY tax did NOT increase. We have proof from closing documents and the receipt you paid

we did not arrange for our homeowners insurance to change your claiming agent - **** did and had the check sent to us!! I included a screenshot between ****, ****** and myselfAs first time homebuyers we was not aware of the protocol or how it works. Shady shady mortgage company. Terrible and shady

Even with the insurance change we paid $600 to escrow at closing

plus the approximately $211 we paid biweekly to escrow the past year just doesnt add up

the math simply does not add up

you did not notify us in advance

My Mortgage company, Movement Mortgage, has been getting my payments on time but make false claims saying payment has been returned and charge me late fees.... the billing statements are not dated correctly.... I'm afraid they are trying another tactic to make me lose my home ... I'm very nervous and don't trust them, because of their prior actions. Last year I had to seek a lawyer Because they were not Documenting my payments, When I called to talk to them they told me my monthly payments were returned because of one late payment, I never received returned payments. it wasn't until i spoke to legal representation that I found out where they were sending my payments. during the location process of monthly payments Movement mortgage tried to Foreclose my home. this was their mistake and tried to make me lose my home thanks to my legal representation i still have my home... but I don't trust Movement Mortgage because of this new late fee scam, I don't understand why they keep sending me notices saying my payments are returned when they are not. they charge me false fees. I have proof from my bank. I have emailed them and called them and they still charge me and make false claims. I don't know what to do. I need help

Event 1: An increase in monthly in July 2024 payment from $2,422.03 to $2,650.63. Event 2: Escrow Analysis conducted on 10/10/2024 by Movement Mortgage powered by ServiceMac prior to receiving ************** refund from Openly causing final monthly payment analysis number to be increased an additional $207.85 amounting to a monthly payment of $2,858.48 for December. Event 3: A call to Movement Mortgage on 11/25/2024 with concerns was made as soon as I was aware of another change in my monthly with intentions to clear up this $436.45 a month increase over a 6-month period. At this time, it was discovered that the refund from **************** in the amount of $2,330.70 was mailed to me and had not been deposited back into escrow. That amount immediately deposited. After the deposit was made, I was informed to call back once it was posted to request a partial escrow analysis. Event 4: Around the first week of November my service provider changed from ServicMac to **********, causing my new ************** (********) to be canceled because of a change in account numbers. ********************** received that refund directly (amount $1,274.00) on December 12th, 2024. Event 4: I followed up 3 times with Movement Mortgage during the month of December. I had one employee inform me to wait till the new escrow analysis is complete, hold off on payments for December and that no penalties would be incurred due to the nature of the events and incorrect escrow analysis provided by ServicMac. Event 5: Another follow up call was made on 1/7/2025, a payment of $5,023.88 (the new escrow analysis monthly of $2,511.94 x2) and another call on 1/9/2025. On the 9th I spoke with a ***** (employee number 3209) and had a 2-hour discussion that ended with an abridged, we cant do anything to help you, this happens to everyone, you need to pay $693.08 either today or before the 31st of January.

My home was affected by hurricane ****** and I was able to put my mortgage on forbearance for 3 months. That 3 months ended Dec 31. Ive been trying to contact my mortgage company since Dec 18th w/o success. Back in November, evidently my mortgage loan servicer changed from MM powered by Service Mac to MM powered by **********. I have to actually speak to a representative to catch up my mortgage because of the forbearance. I sit on hold anywhere from 1-2 hours or if I try to make payment by phone, once I enter the last four of my social, the line disconnects me, if I try to pay on the app, it tells me that Im not able to. My 4th Mortgage payment was due Jan 1st and Ive been trying since December 18th to make 4 payments. The mortgage company hasnt even called me. Inquiring about a late payment. Ive been waiting for them to call. I get home today and I have a certified letter about what I owe, so I get on the phone at 6:20 PM and I sat on hold for an hour. It has literally been impossible for me to get in touch with them to catch up my payments, and Im terrified of it getting reported to credit bureaus when I have been making an honest effort for a month. I am begging you to please help me get in touch with these people, Im planning on selling my home soon and building on family property and I dont need my credit ruined. Ive attached screen shots of my call log to them.

I entered a payment agreement via contract to lower my payment and add to the end of the loan. This company has a new owner and they reported my payment late though it was not late. I am unable to get through to the Mortgage ******************** of Movement Mortgage. The self-service telephone option puts me on hold until it simply disconnects the line. My husband and I inquired about a refinance on our loan for our home. We were told enthusiastically (by ***** ****** and another employee ****** *****) that after looking over the numbers on our loan that this would be obtainable. We went through all the hoops you had to go through filling out paperwork, speaking with their lawyers, having our credit rate checked (which I might add because of this our credit rating has sunk), signing numerous papers and then paying almost $600 to have our house appraised. This appraisal was the last thing that needed to be done to secure our assured loan refinancing. Then all phone communication and email inquiries just stopped. I could get NO ONE to return my calls or emails and I made many, many calls to have my questions answered. It took my husband one email and they promptly answered him. We were being refused a loan refinance. We then found out that ****** ****** had submitted the wrong numbers initially and we would have to come out of pocket thousands of more dollars to refinance our home. We have lived in this house for less than a year, our mortgage is through this company, our initial appraisal was with the SAME person that they sent out again (who I might add this appraiser spent approximately 10 minutes at our house and then went and gave them the SAME report that he had given a year ago). We have made some upgrades to the home but essentially nothing has changed. Now we are out almost $600 dollars, our credit rate has been dented and we have no refinance at a lower interest rate. This was something that we were told would not be any trouble at all to accomplish. Their customer service is abysmal, especially if you are a woman. You better hope you have a man that they will deal with because obviously being a female is not going to help with this company.

I am writing to address a concern regarding my Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) account, which was approved on October 23, 2023, for an initial amount of $115,706.50. Over the past year, I have consistently paid $1,247.97 monthly, totaling $14,975.74 to date. However, I have noticed that the current balance is $115,311.37, indicating that only $395.13 has been applied toward reducing the principal loan balance.

I am rejecting this response because: I did received 2 emails. One, saying that they are looking into the communication. The second one, stating that if I want to lower my principal balance, then I have to pay more money. They offered no solution or compromise whatsoever. I received a credit alert today (October 17, 2024) regarding my mortgage payment being late. At the beginning of October I spoke with my mortgage company and it was put in forbearance due to the temporary financial strain caused by Hurricane ****** and being in a FEMA disaster area. For the next 90 days I am not supposed to accumulate any late fees, nor are any late payments supposed to be reported to any of the credit bureaus. My mom co-signed on my mortgage loan and she is in the process of remodeling her home and her credit score decreased by 71 points because of this. I received a letter 2 days ago regarding mortgage company changing servicing providers (which may be why this happened?). I attached the letter regarding that as well as a copy of the email regarding the forbearance, with my account information. Please help me get this corrected.

Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
