Date purchased 11/1/2023 We purchased two cars on Nov 1st from this dealership within days both cars presented major problems. The ************************************************************************************* a accident and when he tried to blow the horn it did not work, and within two weeks of purchasing the car the engine stopped working. We realize that we purchased the car (as is) but it should not be lawful that the dealership not be held responsible for selling a car that needed a engine for ***** plus tax. We contacted the dealership and **** the owner who stated that he was not going to do anything that it was our problem. He also stated in writing online that he would feel the same way if it was him that this had been done too, but was unwilling to make amends.

The customer purchased from ** a **** ****** Solara with 261k miles on 11/01/2023. The car was sold for $1,800 for a total of $2,155 including tax, tag, title, and dealership fees. The customer called us weeks later to complain about problems they were having with the vehicle. Attached is the *** Buyers Guide signed by the customer stating that they purchased the car As-Is with no dealer warranty.

I am rejecting this response because:
As stated previously I am completely aware that we purchased both cars as is, however, these cars presented major problems within two weeks after purchasing the car they are referring to needed to have the engine replaced. The business should be willing to make good faith efforts. Especially since we didn't even own the car 30 days before it needed a engine I believe he sold the car to us and knew the engine was no good. This should be against the law for dealership to not held held accountable. A car without a engine is junk and should not be sold for 2k how can you look yourself in the mirror knowing that you are taking ppl hard earned money.
