    I agreed to pay a monthly membership fee of $10 (Silver Sneakers rate) in August 2023 on the express condition that I could cancel at any time. "No problem" said their rep, "as long as you are willing to pay for the month following your notice to cancel". When I tried to cancel last week the (franchise?) manager advised me, he had on file that I had signed a one-year contract that could not be cancelled. (He did not share a copy of that agreement with me.) When I said that contradicted what his rep had assured me, I was told he would have to check with the corporate office on the matter. I asked for a phone call or email by the end of last week but have received no response at this writing. This is either a major misunderstanding, a misrepresentation by the membership rep, or a classic case of "bait and switch". I'm not asking for money back, and happy to pay for the extra month as described, just asking for the business to honor their commitment to me and honor my cancellation request.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me, provided the ambiguous wording means my membership has indeed been cancelled.  I, also want to go on record as maintaining no one from Workout Anytime has contacted me regarding the matter despite what their message states.  The telephone number they listed is not even my phone number, nor the phone number of anyone I know.  My correct telephone number is ************.  (Their response message is pasted below for your convenience.)
