I paid Used Mobiles, LLC $2250 on Thursday, July 4, 2024 as a deposit plus first month’s rent. On Friday, July 5, 2024 I requested a refund because I got approved for another home closer to family. I took the steps necessary both personally and professionally to acquire my deposit back , understanding there would be some deductions. I was informed by management that on Friday, July 5, 2024 that there was a check mailed to my preferred address, and that it would take 2-10 days to arrive. I moved into my new home on Friday, July 12, 2024, so within 2-3 weeks I will have to pay rent, etc., again, and I was expecting my deposit back by then. Today, July 15, 2024 I was informed by management that : “Check is to be sent by management once the deductions are done like locks change -It may be sent out by next week it still doesnt show deductions made to it. I have let management know you are asking for refund to be done as soon as possible.” I would normally understand and be patient , however the poor communication and mistruths I have received in return for complying with any rules or regulations and paying up thousands of dollars to this business makes me feel as though I have been completely scammed. I was rushed to complete payment without even confirming employment or completing any background checks and charging a $9.99 card fee, but now that it is time for a rightful refund as we never moved into this mobile home, we can barely get a response, let alone any action taken. Not to mention the mobile homes being rented are placed seemingly illegally, surrounded by unleveled, eroded land. There are driveways no everyday vehicle can access, and the land does not seem clear nor safe enough to place a park of mobile homes.
