My wife and I paid for our Homeowners Policy on or about February 5, 2022, in the amount of $581 and were told by then Arrowhead Insurnace, and then McKenna Agency and now Covenant Insurance Group. We were told we would get a call concerning our wind and hail policy. We waited but decided to contact our local State Farm Agency who we have both our vehicles insured. Covenant finally informed us of the cost, and it being bundled and the cost for it. We decided to go with State Farm because it was cheaper and more coverage. We contacted Covenant Insurance Group on 2 separate occasions for a refund and cancellation of our policy, but we have not heard anything since. This was not a surprise due to previous contacts and no response, but we want a total refund and an explanation as to why we were never contacted concerning our refund.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2022/06/24) */ The South Carolina Department of Insurance is in receipt of additional supporting documents related to the subject complaint. The agency's position (thank you, Agent) is that the complainant never provided a signed Acord cancellation form and proof of new coverage in order to process his policy cancellation and refund. The insured has forwarded that documentation to us, and this matter is being resolved.
