I made a payment for my auto loan and they took out two payments when I ONLY authorized one. Then they tell me that the only thing they can do is mail me a check and there will likely be a 10 day hold on it. I NEEDED that money to buy thanksgiving meal for my family. I am a single mother to 8 kids. I worked my **** off to have enough extra money to buy food for our Thanksgiving meal. And now I DO NOT have it.

I took a small loan of ***** for 48 months from Anderson Brothers Bank in ***********, ** in April 2020. In January of 2022, I paid the account off IN FULL and it was CLOSED. In April of 2022, this business negatively reported to my credit saying I was 60 days past due on my account, even though it was CLOSED. When I called to get this fixed and removed from my credit report, after three days I was told NO, and to dispute through Equifax. This has driven my credit score down almost 68 points and is financially hindering me from favorable terms in an already high interest environment. All I want is for ABB to remove the April entry from my credit report. All other entries may stand as of account close (circa 20 Jan, 2022). If there was something to be reported, they should've reported it when they had the chance, not 90 days after account closing and payment IN FULL and EARLY.

Nobody has contacted or attempted to contact me since the complaint was made. No response from business through BBB.

Our system reports credit history information to Equifax monthly on the first business day of the month based on the last business day of the month prior.
This continues 90 days after the loan is paid off and then our system automatically turns off credit reporting for the particular loan.

For the loan in question the last payment date was 1/5/2022 (reported to Equifax as paid or closed account in February) and the last credit reporting date was 4/29/22 (our May transmission).

      We reported the following information:
      November (for October): current account
      December (for November): current account
January (for December): Account 60 DPD
February (for ********* **** or closed account
March (for February): **** or closed account
April (for March): **** or closed account
May (for April): **** or closed account
June (for ***** no account reporting.

This loan was last reported on 4/29/2022 in our May transmission with the last payment record showing December 2021.
While the credit bureau still received information, it was the same reporting as provided in January.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
With that description the account was still reported incorrectly...the account should have been reported 30 days late in December (for November) if it was 60 days late in January (For December) for it to be accurate. There is also no reason to continue reporting on a closed account 90 DAYS past the account closing. Show me a statute or law that allows this. This kind of credit reporting practice is a sign of CLEAR AND INTENTIONAL RETRIBUTION for the loss of interest incurred by the business for the simple fact i paid it off 3 YEARS IN ADVANCE. Correct the record to reflect 30 days PD in December (for November) and 60 in January (for December), or remove it from record due to inaccuracy.
