    I have been a member with Massage Envy for over 6 years. My monthly membership gets automatically charged to me AMEX card every month in the amount of $70.00. During the last 2.5 years the local establishment, Massage Envy Myrtle Beach Grande Dunes located at 980 Cipriani Drive, Myrtle Beach 29579 has been unable to maintain adequate staffing and therefore unable to meet demand. I complained about this last year when my "banked # massages - paid for in advance but not received-" reached 24 and again recently as its now over 33!! Due to their poor personnel management, a member today cannot book a massage via their website for at least the next 7 weeks!!! I'll pay two more monthly charges (two more banked massages) before that time. I have asked for a refund for all or at least half of the banked massages (ones I paid in advance for but unable to arrange due to their lack of staffing) but was told they cannot under corporate policy. They also told me that if I cancel my membership, I lose the full amount banked - which 33 x $70 - amounts to $2100. What they offered me was to put my account on a "freeze" for a few months and instead of paying $70 they will only charge me $20. They did that last year as well but there was still no availability, and therefore my bank of massages grew bigger! Bottom line: I can't use up 33 messages in a few months during this freeze period because they don't have the availability of staff!! This is a sham, it's extremely unethical and obviously questionable and possibly illegal business practices. I would like BBB to investigate BBB and get me a refund for these banked massages and I'll continue to make every effort to arrange for some massages over the next several months when they have cancellations.
