The package was sold to my boyfriend and me by ***************** at CCMF in ************ in June 2023. He looked at both of our licenses and was aware that I was 21 and my boyfriend is 24. It was never made to known to us that the age to book the condo/resort for the package was 28. We found out of the age requirement while trying to book condo. We have no one of age to book/use the package, so I called in attempts to cancel the package. I was transferred to collections - no one answered, so I left a message. I never received a call back, so I called again where I was told they hadnt received a message, and was transferred to collections again. They didnt answer yet again, so I left another message. I have called multiple times since, yet I have never spoken to anyone in collections and have always had to leave a message, but I have never received a call back. My boyfriend and I simply want to resolve this issue, yet no one is willing to help. I feel were being/have been ignored on purpose.Capital Vacations, LLC Response

It is a scam. They treat owners good only if you keep upgrading. They will make you promises that they have no intention of keeping. I am owner and it is the worst decision I ever made. Trust me if I could get my money back I so would, and mine is paid off and I still hate it. The owners meeting don't get me started on it. I use to go to them but I didn't learn anything from them other that it a sells pitch and that all it is Stay away from them better yet run.Capital Vacations, LLC Response

Capital Vacations forced us into handing over our timeshare with *********** in **. Saying that if we don't sign on we would not be able to visit our resort that we have owned for 25 years when we wanted, they said that we could only visit when they had ample rooms available. And not every year. They promised we could book cruises cheaper than online. I found three cruises that was cheaper online. Anyone thinking about joining DON'T DO IT! We bought a 4 day package to The Great Smokey Mountains for $298.66 from July 9-13th, 2024. Plus $55.76 for motel taxes on arrival. We had our Timeshare presentation scheduled July 12th at 8:30am. ******** took us to meeting room and asked how we were doing. I told him not very well that I had just been informed my sister was admitted into ICU with life threatening medical condition. I tried to show him text from my son and picture of my sister. He said he didn't need to see it. I asked if we could hurry presentation up since we were first ones there. He said he would have us sit through presentation and tour. We asked if there would be a penalty if we couldn't stay for the sales pitch; but, we would stay for whole presentation if there was a penalty. He excused himself and came back to inform us that they were going to waive the tour requirements in order for us to get on the road. Without us asking, he said they would gift us the $150; but, it would be mailed due to gifting person wouldn't be in until 11am. He escorted us out of the building at 9:15am. We got back to *********** about 9:25am, quickly packed, checked out by 10am, and on the road by 10:10am for home (19 hour drive). We even had tickets for that evening for "Unto These Hills Outdoor Drama" which we weren't able to attend. Then today (July 18th) I received an email from Monster Reservations informing us that Capital was billing our credit card $550.00 for "No Tour fee". We did NOT refuse to attend--we were there--we said we would do full presentation if there was a penalty. The salesperson (after he spoke with someone) said they were waiving tour requirements. Then charged our credit card $550.00 for "non tour" penalty? So, what did we buy for $298.66? As well, shouldn't we get some motel taxes refunded since we left a day early? Please, refund the $550.00 being charged to my credit card. My sister has had 4 surgeries since July 12th and has been transferred to a *********** for tissue replacement.Capital Vacations, LLC Response

We wrote the President of Capital Vacations regarding our horrific experience with their company; after we were unable to get any assistance from their corporate offices. When Capital Vacations bill came due in May, they started calling us 2-3 times a day. Thinking it would be good to communicate with them, we did so ask for an email address to send them a message, hoping that they would communicate with us in writing. We continued to have more phone calls from Capital Vacations so we decided that our email should be sent first. After they received our email, we received a phone call message concerning our email. We had to send a letter because they told us that the email had been sent to their superiors to consider our request. Now they are telling us that it may take 90 days for their superiors to respond to us, and if we do not pay until then, we will accrue late penalties. One Capital Vacations representative told us that she wanted to be honest with us that we should hope for the best, but prepare for the worst, because they usually dont release people from their contracts, so we really should pay until we hear from them so that we dont end up paying even more. We still have not paid them anything. We called them back, and they asked us at least to pay the main payment and they would waive any late penalties and the maintenance fees for the time-being. We are at a loss as to how they get away with this unprofessional behavior.Capital Vacations, LLC Response

They lie and offer you gifts that you dont receive. The three resorts that Ive stayed are old, paint peeling and warped. They do not answer your calls after youve signed until its too late to cancel. Very dishonest. I attempted to contact my Supposedly person that taking care of me as an owner. But Isupposedly person that taking care of me as a owner. But I didnt receive any callbacks or I kept getting excuses about their out of town or vacation or family members died. I talked to him numerous times and even went back out to cancel, but they still wont allow you to get out.Capital Vacations, LLC Response

They are Incompetent with their account method applying your payment to match your billing.They lie and say they didn't get your payment even when we showed them our bank statement show it was paid on time.They pick at you so you would go of so he could hang up on you. This company is a scam. Everything the sales rep tells you is a lie. If you buy from them you will regret it for the rest of your life! You will be taking on a huge and ever increasing financial obligation with nothing to show for it. If you leave this to your heirs they will curse you at your funeral. Any reviews over 1 star (the minimum) are added by the company's employees. No legitimate customer has ever given this company over 1 star.Capital Vacations, LLC Response

I have a timeshare (2 bd, 2 bth, oceanfront) fully paid and was only paying annual maintenance fees along with periodic assessments. The maintenance fees were going up year over year but still my timeshare week was paid for! Before my visit this year (Week 7), I received notice that the Board of my property has decided to partner with Capital Vacations to manage the property and I needed to attend a meeting at the ************ office. I scheduled that meeting and attended during my regular visit. As others have said in their reviews, I was told ***** minutes for the meeting. After 4 hours, LOTS of confusing talk and contracts from their representative, I'm now in the hole for $20K+ and not sure what it is I actually purchased...the pleasure of being a Capital Vacations victim I guess! I was told I had to go to a New Owner's Workshop, which I just did this past week. I decided earlier that I would not spend more than 90 minutes and NOT give them one more *****!!! I arrived at the workshop, was greeted by a nice lady and when it was time for the workshop to begin, I was escorted to the presentation by a salesperson who would meet with me afterwards. The presenter came in, apologized that his computer wasn't working and told us the intended hour-long presentation would be just a few minutes and that we were to tell everyone it was an hour and was a "great" presentation. This meeting was to instruct me on how to get the best use of my points and I LEARNED NOTHING ABOUT THIS!!!!!! What could he show / teach me in 10 minutes about accessing the website, using my points, etc.? After the BRIEF presentation, the salesperson picked me up, escorted me to his cubicle and asked if I had any questions. He knew nothing about me or my account! When I told him I was not going to spend more money, he dropped me like a hot potato, quickly escorted me to the "Gifting" counter where I waited for 20 minutes before being helped. We have been trying to reach Capital Vacations for weeks and have not heard back from anyone. We contacted Capital about canceling our timeshare ownership with one of their resorts, Bluebeard's. We were told by ********************* that we needed to reach out to the deeding department and were given a number to call. We have called several times. One time, we managed to get in touch with a representative who assured us that someone would reach back out. No one ever did. We tried to follow up again but still haven't received any help. This is ridiculous. It seems like Capital is purposely dragging their feet, likely intending to stick us with more fees. This lack of response and assistance is extremely frustrating and unacceptable. We strongly advise others to think twice before dealing with Capital Vacations.Capital Vacations, LLC Response
