    My husband and I planned a vacation in ************. I booked a reservation at the Sands Oceans Club in ************. We traveled 7 hours to get to the location. When we arrived, we were given room 705. We went to the room and noticed a strong smell of mildew. Most of the carpet was soaking wet like someone had poured water on it and left it for days. I went to the front desk to inform one of the girls at check-in. This check- in girl immediately gave a lot of attitude. She asked if anyone called me to tell me the room was ready. I told her no but I had already gotten a room when I came in. I asked for another room because the room smelled horrible and the floor was soaking wet. She informed me that the room originally assigned to me would be ready. I just had to wait 10 minutes. I waited 15 minutes. I walked back to the counter and she rolled her eyes at me like some kind of kid. I asked for the room. She told me room 705 is ready. I told her I did not want room 705 due to the smell and the water on the carpet. She informed me that the only other room available was an efficiency. The place was horrible and I had a 4 year old with me. I bought the hotel through booking.com. I called to complain to them. They said they had to talk to the manager but they were unable to reach them. Booking.com then said I would receive an email within 24 hours from the hotel which I have not. We couldn't find another hotel and ended up driving 7 hours back home. I refuse to pay for a room that smells like mildew and is soaking wet. Plus the room was just unappealing. The girl check- in girl was nasty and it was just an unpleasant experience. I am asking for a refund.

    WE ARRIVED ON 11/12/21, WHEN GETTING TO THE ROOM IT WAS DISGUSTING. THE BATHROOM, THE FLOORS AND THE PHONE WAS REALLY NASTY. HE CARPET AROUND WALLS PEELED OFF AND BUGS. THE WALL HAD EXPOSED WIRES. THE CLOSET DOOR WAS HANGING OFF. IT WAS LATE WE WAS TIRED AFTER TRAVELING SO WE TOOK A CHANCE TO LOOK AT ANOTHER ROOM, WHEN WE GOT OFF THE ELEVATOR THERE WAS AN AWFUL SMELL LIKE SOMETHING WAS DEAD ALMOST MADE US SICK, WE TURNED AROUND AND WENT TO GET A REFUND, THERE WAS A FAMILY BEHIND US CHECKING BACK OUT AS WELL COMPLAINING WITH SAME PROBLEMS. THIS HOTEL REALLY NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN, THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN ALL OF MY YEARS STAYING IN HOTELS.
