My *********** were married in June of this year. We chose Wedding Chapel by the Sea bc of the package they offered. We put our trust & our wedding in their hands. Had we known then what we know now, we would have never hired them. Their website promotes a package that boasts professional photos, HD DVDs, beach photo ******** *********** at a country club. What we got was a rushed assembly line for weddings. Our guests were treated like children & were locked down in the chapel. They were ordered not to take photos or record the wedding. Oh how we wished our guests had broken the rules. One third of our photos were blurry or unfocused & our wedding video was vintage 90s technology. We were promised 4 DVDs and when we received them only 1 worked. Our photo shoot was supposed to also consist of a beach photo shoot. We thought that there would be private access to the beach. Instead our limo was backed up to a public access ********** wedding party, who are quiet elderly, struggled to walk in the sand. When we arrived at the reception we were informed that our wedding cake had collapsed & that we didn't have one. The ***** didn't have a backup or even try to get a backup cake. The reception area was not decorated at all & our guests had to purchase their own drinks even though we had paid for drinks as part of our package. It seemed to us that the country club was trying to profit off our guests. We have tried to address all these problems on numerous occasions both with the manager & even with a board member. We have been told that we were given what we paid for. We disagree & when they apologized it was very passive aggressive & not sincere. It was of the nature that "we're sorry that you feel like you didn't get what you wanted". We have asked for a partial refund of our money ($6700) & have only received $225 which was the cost of the cake. If we could give them a negative rating we would bc of how they handled our complaints & have treated us afterwards.
